bw = 177
soreness: glutes
aches/injuries: left shin splint (slightly)

Had this before, many times.. It always goes away, not so worried about it. It shuts down my jumping though. Can't jump for shit when I feel this in my shin/calf.

Morning Session: jog & sprint. bodyweight strength

shoes: xc900v2

Jog & Sprint: 3 mi
- decent

Jumps:
- barely tried, but wanted to get some jumping in. no rim touches.

Jog & Sprint: 0.5 mi
- decent

Bodyweight Strength:
- pushups: 21
- neutral grip pullups: 4
- sl semi-shrimp squat: 15
- sl calf raise: 20

Evening Session: jog & sprint, bodyweight strength

shoes: xc900v2

Jog & Sprint: 4 mi
- very fast
- (submax) sprints were 30-80 strides. Felt very good, nice and light/bouncy.
- Havn't sprinted that distance during my jog & sprint's until tonight. So, very happy with how i handled it..
- really feeling the physiological (vo2max/lactic threshold) improvements.

Bodyweight Strength:
- pushups: 20
- neutral grip pullups: 4
- sl semi-shrimp squat: 12

evening sessions definitely feel better than morning, in regards to running.

MY TOES R FUKT! Two blood bubbles forming! hehehe!! This probably wouldn't happen if I ran in my vibram's, as my toes would be separate... but then running would be much more intense.

02/02/2015

bw = 177
soreness = hamstrings
aches/injuries = tight adductors, blood bubbles forming on left first metatarsal, right 4th metatarsal.

Morning Session: jog, bw strength

SL (somewhat shrimp) Squat: BW @ 1 x 20 each leg
SL calf raise: BW @ 1 x 20 each leg

Evening Session: jog, bw strength

WEIGHT: ???
SORENESS: hams, glutes, quads, lats, lower traps
ACHES/INJURIES: none
MENTAL STATE: tired
STOPWATCH: ???

- warm up

- DLRVJ x ~12
trainer dude who pointed out that i was tilted on my squats asked if i wanted some advice after my first four-step jump, which was a horror show. soreness+tiredness+lack of focus=31". i said, no, and he kept smiling and kind of said, "really?" and i said, "really, but thanks for the offer." and then i jumped 33.5-34.5 the rest of the time with maybe one at 35. prick. i was mad at his smugness so i hung on the rim each jump. dumb. my shoulder is still not fully healed it's not that bad anymore.

- stretch

- DB swing 45 x 12; 50 x 10,10

- more stretching quads, hams and glutes

- squat 195 x 21
not good, lower back pump serious, endurance bad. harder than 230 yesterday in a way. i might drop the weight next week and do 185 or something.

- stretch

fuck that asshole. my squats aren't even that bad.

anger jumping ftw.

 :headbang:

your squats are fine. smug smiles are for epic douchebags.

Dude is a monster at 5'7"-9" or whatever he actually is. Weird jumper but it works.

ya thought the same thing about his jumper.. fairly ugly. Once he gets into college it'll probably become more of an issue.

Did Ride the Night which is an event in Melbourne where you ride 70k through and around Melbourne from midnight to 7am. It's a fundraising event for youth issues.

Melbourne turned it on in typical Melbourne summer style with pretty much consistent rain and with nearly 3,000 bikes on the road it made it super interesting. The distance wasn't much to write home about over that time frame but was just slow going. Finished just before 6.30am. Went straight home but unfortunately kids prevented me from getting any sleep. Fun!

whoa that sounds pretty fun.

bw = 178
soreness = feel good

Tough session. Also, minor strain of my left adductor on a distance jump.

Session: jump, jog

shoes: xc900v2

Jumps:
- ~1 hour of jumping

Max Vert:
- L-SLRVJ: mostly 123", but hit a 125"
- R-SLRVJ: lots of 120"'s
- r-slrvj was more consistent that previous jump sessions. Hit 10' alot.

Distance Vert: From the line of the paint
- L-SLRVJ: hit 122" from takeoff just outside the paint. All other jumps sucked.
- R-SLRVJ: nowhere close to touching rim

Non-Stop Submax SLRVJ:
- basically jogging down the court alternating L-SLRVJ / R-SLRVJ
- these were horrible. I think I may have hit rim once out of 20 jumps.
- this is a good sign though, means I have some serious room for improvement in my conditioning related to jumping.

Long Jump:
- Trying to jump across the width of the paint from ~10 and ~20 yard lead ins.
- I guess I probably would have gotten across it on a few jumps if I did a 'bad landing', but, I wanted to land safely.

Jog: ~5 mi
- ~5 mi run.
- was dead.

Lost 6 lb. of water weight by the end of this workout.

Groin feels a little sore from the strain. Should be fine though. It happened during one  of my 'distance verts' trying to touch rim from outside the paint.

Ate alot tonight, hoping it replenishes me a bit so I can get some training in the AM.

the one-handed catches vid is insane. he's not even trying, if they had a machine pitching him the balls at a higher rate he'd have caught more.

ya, you have to see the 'trick shot' video he made for the superbowl.. with those basketball trick shot guys. it's impressive.

if they post it i'll link it.
