I notice you bounce a little in the bottom of your squat before really going for the concentric. Do you think that that maybe negates a bit of what makes paused squats so effective?

Great to have you here man!

Good luck with 40 inches. I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to get there pretty soon. You definitely have a lot of room for improvement in terms of movement efficiency and whatnot.

Not just one beast, but a few.

A fucking 150kg power snatch and a 170kg power clean by Pyrros Dimas. He did the power clean just to get the bar back in the rack for squats, but didn't feel like unloading it first, pizamp.

I recommend listening to the commentary for this vid.

Note: His power snatch at his bodyweight gets him a 79" vert according to CCJ's calculator. Dimas probably did have a pretty sick vert...

This will all be worth it if A) I get a decent raise at the end of the year and B) I get an ass-kicking recommendation from my boss for whatever job and/or grad school I apply to next.

What do you want to study at grad school?

You should see the hours my brother works, it is ridiculous.

Don't know. Just know that I'll end up there at some point and that it won't be for a useless degree like an MA. What does your brother do?

He works in finance in New York. He is usually at the office until about 11pm, sometimes until 2am on crazy days.

Also, don't be dissin' the MA.

I doubt the benefits are worth the 20 or 30 bucks you will have to drop on them. If you want to do extended ROM pushups just elevate your hands on some books. The likely reason that most people give positive reviews saying that "they work" is that they were probably too fucking lazy to do anything about it, but once they have paid for an exercise device they feel obliged to do something with it. If you are on this site that most likely cannot be said of you.

You could try rest pausing the weaker arm until it matches for total number of reps. That way you don't have to sacrifice intensity for your stronger arm, but it should help to even out imbalances.
