Boxing / Re: jacobs vs quillin
« on: December 04, 2015, 02:50:54 pm »
Its a hard fight to predict, quillin has been knocked out before and jacobs has lost before and knocked down also

nah, quillin is undefeated, never been ko'd. Jacobs has been ko'd (his only loss).

http://fightfan.com/2015/12/jacobs-quillin-heats-up-at-tension-filled-weigh-in/

jacobs looks like he usually does to me.. maybe a hi-res photo would make me think different.

I think quillin is the stronger fighter. He has some serious power & enough skills/technique to setup his power against Jacobs.

I also think Quillin has been in there with the better fighters, especially Andy Lee. He got a draw against Lee in a very tough fight. Lee is so damn dangerous and Quillin had him hurt several times.

Quillin is definitely legit, I think he KO's Jacobs. Also I think Quillin is more composed in that face-off. Jacobs is usually a polite/well mannered guy. Looks like a sign of weakness to me tbh..

Much respect to Jacobs, guy is a warrior.. more so for his battles out of the ring. But I think Quillin will win by TKO, maybe round 9. :f

Should be good man!!

I've got a meet tomorrow night for the 200m. It should be fun but

nice ya just have fun.. In the end it'll be a good tool to motivate you even further to stay focused. My 20:06 5k has been some serious fuel so far :) I've always turned let downs into fuel, that's one thing i've done right in life.

I'm not really looking forward to seeing people and being slow and having them be like WTF happened to you!? I'm not going to stress about it though because the main thing is I'm just exercising again and slowly losing weight/trying to live a better lifestyle despite last nights antics.

I imagine people on here have asked that about me.. 8| I can't dunk right now and I don't lift like I used to. Some people slip because of injuries (the worst, sucks ;/). I've never let myself slip until the past 3 years. I let myself slip "just like you", except my downfall was letting work dominate my life (which includes eating too much, especially with work colleagues). That ballooned me up to some 207 lb. fatass (for me, 207 is obese) unix nerd whose legs would die running 100 yards, living on mostly < 5 hours sleep, and who felt like he was going to have a heart attack while trying to go to sleep. wtf? The worst period of my life, by far.

We can't change how we are right now, too late. We can change how we perform/feel 6 months from now though.

In terms of healthy lifestyle.. man you are going to thank yourself a few years from now. HEH! Fuck slipping up.

pc man, have fun in that meet!

I love sports statistics and stats say Curry is changing the game and practically should take every shot he can because he's soo good. Crazy

great article. curry is neo from the matrix.

evening session got rained out.. pouring nonstop. I guess it's a good thing though, calves are pretty sore.

it's scheduled to rain all day tomorrow (and saturday).. but, hoping by waking up so early and running I can get in a 1-1.5 hour run.. going to try and get in a few longer runs during the week - not every session, but a few times a week to burn even more fat kcal.

gn!

warmup run:
- 0.5 mi
- strained something in my left neck/trap doing a warmup jump during the jog

jumps:
- mostly 10'3' L-SLRVJ
- 10'4" on last jump L-SLRVJ
- 10'0" on a two step LR-DLRVJ

warmup run:
- 0.25 mi

run:
- ~3 mi
- midfoot
- great run, good pace, bouncy

dead-hang neutral grip pullups:
- BW x 7

parallel bar dips:
- BW x 7
- real deep and nice

Food

- sprite
- eek! was so good though

Food

- light red kidney beans with serrano pepper and ceyanne pepper
- 6 egg sandwich on an english muffin
- some boarshead hot sauce for the eggs, nice
- a few chocolates

neck/trap strain is annoying.. but, that's what happens when you get back into jumping (sometimes). strained it during arm swing.

tomorrow probably just going to do a few jumps in the morning and run.. no lifting.

pc!

I was all about the RVJ too but lately i've started caring more about the SVJ. I hope to hit 35" standing by the summer.

nice. you've always seemed like someone who would have a much better SVJ if you trained it more, given your relative squat strength & style.

i'd like to hit 35" L-SLRVJ this summer too.
