Roy Jones Jr looks like he died.. :/

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txnNuT744MU" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txnNuT744MU</a>

Not sure how much longer he can keep fighting, the way he fell/got KO'd after being hit with that shot, does not look good.

He is too old, he cant be taking punishments like that at his age. he knew his boxing but he cannot carry on like this.

ya.. if he fights 'crappy fighters' then he might be able to keep fighting for a while.. but when he fights "legit guys" he's in for serious trouble. check his boxrec:

he fought a bunch of guys with 'crappy records' leading up to the Enzo fight: http://boxrec.com/boxer/1758

he did good against those guys, ko'd them.. so maybe he thought it's time to step it up a bit. bad idea.

Saw my physio today. Shoulder is good to go. Onto a maintenance plan now which is just to keep the joint loose and supple and gradually build back into things like dips etc. Pretty stoked about that.

Got him to have a look at my knee. He thinks I have a minor medial meniscus tear and some cartilage damage under the knee cap. No real treatment or further investigation required but main priority is to make quad/it band as supple as possible and loosen up calf as it's probably at an all time high of tightness. Need to avoid full compression of the joint, i.e. kneeling and sitting back on ankles which is exactly what I do all the time. It's the seating position we use in Hapkido which is the same as the Japanese seiza. If it gets worse (more pain and inflammation) I can get a scan with a view to a scope. Hoping like hell to avoid that.

damn, sucks about the possible knee diagnosis. I can't sit back on my ankles for shit. When I was younger I couldn't either, we had to do it in Shotokan karate. Was so brutal, had to do it on this concrete floor and eventually I had osgood-schlatters (sp?), sucked so bad.

are they going to confirm the diagnosis with an MRI or something?

pc man!

Shoes / Spikeless High Jump Shoes
« on: December 14, 2015, 09:50:26 pm »
What are the equivalent to high jump shoes, but spikeless? Simply track waffles? I doubt it though, because these high jump shoes seem like they have more "structure" and firm soles.

I've never worn high jump shoes so I have no idea..

So, anyone have any idea what would be the equivalent to some of these high jump shoes?

I should order some and put the rubber plugs in them and try them out... HEH!#!@# It could be pointless though, the spike in the heel is what makes them so important.. but who knows, maybe they would feel great to SLRVJ in?

^^ sounds like a bad idea  :raging:

Canelo might need one more fight before GGG, preferably against someone BIGGER than Cotto.. so not too upset with it. But man after that fight, time for Canelo/GGG.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/12/14/10021992/conor-mcgregor-knows-youre-laughing-at-his-movement-drills-but-it

nice stuff

"Your body is in the same spot all the time," McGregor said. "What happens is people jump out of bed, brush their teeth, stuff their faces with food, make their way to the gym, barely warm up, do 10 rounds, go home, rest, eat, go back to the gym. You can just feel that body locking. I'm waking up and the first thing I'm doing now is spinal waves. I can actually hear it. ... It's like you're loosening the cobwebs. And it's been paying off for me."

conor is in a great rhythm right now.
