DWade in 09 literally did some things no one else has done. 2k points, 500 assists and 100+ blocks/steals. Just putting that out there in case people forgot because he's woefully underrated.

As for LeBron not getting calls...meh. It's a wash. He also gets away with a ton of stuff imo. Stars get star treatment. Always have always will.

I do think LeBron is more gifted athletically than MJ due to size. Both had great bounce, speed, strength in their athletic prime but LeBron is 3" taller and 40-50lbs heavier. MJ did possess the quickest first step I have ever seen tho. 80s MJs first step was incomprehensible. So i give that and body control to MJ. The rest tho...

Boston disappeared because of Larry Legends back issues. Detroit just got beat. All he needed was one good player (sorry, I think pippen rode the f out of MJs coattails) and he didn't lose again.

He did get some incredible calls but like you mentioned so did Kobe, LeBron, etc

Yeah that was a 3am workout lol! Less springy more raw horse ponies it felt like.

Squatted today. BW at 192.4 lbs. Actually had 7.5 hours of sleep. Felt good. Warmups were on point.

Pyramid up to a 405 PAUSED SINGLE!  :personal-record: :personal-record: Honestly felt like I had 425 in me. Played it safe tho and dropped to 365 for 3x2 paused with a dropset 315x6 for speed at the end. Quick machine circuit and a few box jumps. 2/3 stepped a 10'9" touch at the end which is awesome for post lifting for me. Time to stretch and eat!

Deadlifts and such late last night. Exhausted. Came in at 192.6lbs.

Extensive dynamic warm up and some jumps.

Deadlift pyramid to a single 455 pull. 3x2 at 405 with a drop set 315 x8 for speed on the last set. Hit core and some machine leg work to finish. Wasn't the greatest session just too tired but managed ok. Working a 12 today and can not wait to rest tomorrow.

Quick vid of said box jumps while I was warming up (2 separate days lol)

Thinking about it I'm still exhibiting decent tendon stiffness so i SHOULD be feeling "springy" instead of just powerful. Gotta be the extra weight.

Yea it's really weird tho. My quickness and overall speed don't seem affected at all. And my SL jumps seem just as high as ever. It just feels completely different. Like I'm not getting up but I am? The knee isnt too bad. Especially if I make sure to warm up and stretch some before "letting go" and really getting after it. The crazy part is, judging by the mirror, I'm still sub 10% BF. Visible 6 pack still. Still vascular. Legs actually look great IMO. VMO is as good as I've ever seen it. Little bit of extra chunk in the love handle area where my diet is crap lately but that's about it. So idk lol

Took two weeks off from all lifting due to some patellar tendinitis (I think) in my right knee. Weighed in at 195 last night. Holy fuck me. Going to switch up training. Gotta lower volume on upper again and raise weight. Hit a plyo/speed day again and start peaking compound lifts. Paused 405 on my squat last night. Doubles at 365. Way back on volume. Did hit some seated box jumps and such. Definitely feel powerful but no springy. That was evidenced today while hooping. Got "up" but felt like a struggle. Hit some lobs and such but I could definitely feel all the extra weight lol!

Need to rededicate myself to logging. Keeps me focused, motivated, and on point with training sets/reps/schemes.

I ran after the kids does that count? 😂 But really it wasn't too sedentary. Took lil man snorkeling and such. Lots of swimming.

Hit some light back work after hooping last night. Took a few games for my body to loosen up but it felt good. Handle and jumper were surprisingly nice after game 3 or 4. Lots of people so not much time to jump/dunk between games. Few light ones here and there and messed around and posted up a buddy half heartedly and dropstepped a weak two hander by accident lol! The one leg bounce seems legit, missed a finger roll because I hit my forearm on the rim. Left it long. Very weird feeling to be up like that off one so effortlessly. Deadlifts after work tomorrow.

Oh and Im still working on this editing junk lol! I've re started maybe 4 times. 😂

Back from vacation...did not do a damn thing while I was gone lol! No lifting, jumping or even editing. Will get on that tonight or tomorrow. Gonna go shoot for a few. Tomorrow if I feel good I'll have a mini jump session.

Dangit. Apparently it didn't post my last post 😂 Anyway since then, quick recap: still at 190-192lbs BW. Have lifted 1 rep max at 385 paused squat. Reps are 4x3 at 345. No belt. Deads at 455. 405 for 4x3. Did 5 no problem but stopped. No belt just straps. No accessory BSS, FS, etc etc. Just high rep low weight machine work. Started a bodyweight lunge type movement. Well see if it helps knee stability. Cut back on upper stuff to a 3x6/7 rep style to cut mass and keep some strength. Anyways....

Lifted deads Monday. Had a impromptu 30 min junk session Wednesday night. Something clicked. Idk. Surprised as hell. Snagged a buddies GoPro and put the footage on the laptop but my graphics card apparently sucks so it's grainy af. But highlights are...I dunked off 1 foot at a PR BW 😂. I'm going on vacation...now...so on the way I'm going to try and DL the GoPro software on to her MacBook. See if it does better. Either way I'm going to figure the editing out naively and post some shit. Timing was a wee bit off or I'd kill some stuff  :o

Missed a few updates and took a week off when someone stepped on my foot while cutting. Foot was a little sore. Squats stayed at 356/275 and deadlift at 405 and 315 although my grip improved.

Decided I'm ok on "strength" so I'm moving to more of a "power" block for the next 4-6 weeks. So more of a 5x5 and heavy triple scheme on legs. Still going ULTRA light on assistance work but may throw in some front squat and BSS now. Plan to move to a 2-4 week explosive block after this.

Monday: deadlift at 190.6 lbs.

Lots of jumps/etc on warmups. Same warmup pyramid on deadlifts. Used straps for the 405 single. Moved top single to 455. Didn't feel as heavy as expected. Decided to 5x5 at 365 with straps, no belt. First 4 sets were no issue. Ony 5th I decided to test myself some and aimed for 8 reps. I did 10 and had 2-3 more in me easily but I stopped. Good thing too. Spinal erectors are SORE. Not broke but definitely DOMs.

Spent the evening with the wife for our anniversary. Ate way too much.

Weighed in at 193.4 today for back day but looked shredded.

Shot around tonight and ran through some drills. Managed some half heated max effort stuff but my back was shutting down some explosive capability I think. Got some short video of the ending dunk attempts and ME jumps. Only one other guy there and my brain just wasn't wanting to JUMP. Will edit down the film and post later. Maybe 42ish inch max. Goal was at 10'1" I found out lat the end. Meh.

Hammered PC last night at 192lbs BW.

Extensive warmup/stretch. AC went out at the gym. I was pouring sweat 😂

Deadlifts:

135 x10, 185 x7, 225 x3, 275 x1, 315x1, 365 x1. All no belt or straps. Tried 405 and my grip failed (double overhand) just above my knees. Strapped and got it easily.

4x8 at 315. Went no belt no straps first 3 sets got 6/2, 6/2, 4/4 (reps before and after a quick grip reset). Strapped for the last set and got 8 with plenty left in the tank.

Circuit trained high rep low weight ham curls, leg extensions, calf raises and glute kickbacks. Minimal core and a few jumps to finish. Not bad. Kinda upset about failing 405 completely raw. Oh well.

Shoot around this am for 30mins before work. Ok results. Couple buddies came in as I was supposed to be leaving that I haven't seen in a min (one moved to Florida, the other plays overseas) so we got a 10 min low effort dunk session in. I think the only thing holding me back right now (besides sheer strength) is I am SLOOOOW on my dribble run up ( and my lobs but very noticeable on dribble drive). I assume this is a reps problem and overthinking right now. In game I expect to zone out and let my body react but as of now I'm definitely missing the speed into my plant I had before.

Skwatttts.

BW: 192.2lbs.

Added a handful more jumps to warmups. Paused warm-up squats to a 365 single. 4x8 at 275 for work sets.

Shot around for about 25 mins after lifting. Legs slightly fatigued muscular wise but felt bouncy. Easy 2 handers off 2 steps. Attempted maybe 8-10 total dunks. Nothing real ME.

Vid of top warmup squat:
