X2 be very careful with achilles. My achilles have plagued me for years! I haven't been able to sprint or play organised sport for the last 2 seasons due to fibrosis in my left achilles despite going to physiotherapists, podiatrists and having shock wave therapy and dry needling to my calves etc.

What is IDBBP?

With the dumbbells I place them on my knees and heave them up. The heaviest I've gone lately is 36kg with db's and it's harder getting the db's up then doing the first couple of reps!

I watched the highlights of the Saints V Lions game. Saints managed to score a win by getting 35 unanswered points but the scoreline was a lot tighter. Kamara is a beast and without rushers like Kamara the Saints would be cooked. Probably Drew Brees final season this year?

I also saw the highlights of the Vikings v Texans game. Great to see Vikings finally get a win this season with 2 of their WR having 100+ yard games (Justin Jefferson & Adam Thielen). Thielen finished the game with 114 yards receiving and a TD.

In the last couple of weeks there have been two lives lost due to head injuries from head contact in amateur games. I hate to see sad news like this but it's a reminder that freak injuries happen and sometimes the impacts are lethal.

I was planning on doing 5x3 for the 100kg. The first set I easily could've got 5 but I didn't think I'd be able to get 5 reps for all 3 sets so I went conservative.

Jogged @ 13.5km/h speed for 90 seconds x 4 

Spent a couple of minutes using the foam roller at the gym on my achilles/calves/hamstrings.

Wednesday-

Woke up feeling fresh but somehow suffered a minor ankle sprain on my left foot so I wasn't able to do any skipping or jogging today. It's very minor I didn't even realise it until I attempted to skip but after the first 40 or so skips it was just feeling worse and worse so I stopped. On reflection I was doing some standing vertical jumps and running vertical jumps yesterday so I may have landed in an awkward position on one of the RVJs but just didn't feel it at the time. I'll see how it feels tomorrow.

Tuesday-

Rest day. I've lifted weights the last four days in a row. I was going to go to judo tonight but given it a miss.

Soreness-
Nothing major just some general fatigue with arms/chest.
Achilles/Calves also feel a bit tight.

I will go to the gym tomorrow after work and train legs.
