right bottom of foot fuqn sore. eeh. left heal slowly getting better.

lots of coding today.. but, mostly cleanup. seems like i'm mostly cleaning stuff up lately. the GOOD news is.. i actually ran the app on this linode server. I expected it to be a little faster than my local-dev environment but, it was crazy fast. There's alot of latency in my local-dev environment because everything goes through a VPN.. so.. that was fun to see.. stuff that was taking ~4sec to load was loading instantly for example.

also after cleanup, haskell backend has 0 warnings.. purescript frontend still has a ton of warnings.. trying to get rid of all of these warnings, bothers me. Lots of the warnings are on stupid things like imports/exports not being used. bleh.

if my damn feet are fine tomorrow i'd like to run/jump, but, i doubt it.. might need another day.

You know what I never understood? How you guys don't have a mandatory ID in the USA? Here in Romania, everybody has one at the age of 14. You renew it every 10 years or so.

There it seems people are unidentifiable unless they have medical insurance or a driving license or something.

Here, you just take your ID, to go the voting poll, vote, and go home. That's it. Nothing to fuss about.

ya i dno.. i mean sure everyone should have one, that'd be ideal. I have no problem with that. I guess the problem is, lots of old people don't have them.. same with lots of poor people, and even very young people who don't drive etc. So I mean there are reasons why people don't have ID. Also, you hear lots of stories like, "you need ID to get ID".. so there's also a group of people here that have problems getting ID. i dno I recall it being a few million eligible voters don't actually have ID.

So I guess the real problem is, these voter ID laws are being implemented BEFORE the transition to everyone having an ID. ie, just out of nowhere, you can make people ineligible to vote. If say, you had some 4-8 year plan to make sure everyone has ID, and then you enacted such laws.. it would make more sense IMHO. But to just out of nowhere implement these voter ID laws which apparently, disproportionately effect poor & elderly, it's really just a ploy to make it harder for dems to vote, is the argument from the dems. That, in combination with shrinking the amount of polling/voting stations dramatically, makes it harder for people to vote in general.

democrat or republican, doesn't matter to me. They just need to make sure that it's easier for people to vote, it's accurate, & it's fair.

these closed primaries piss me off. I'm an independent, i'm not a democrat.. yet I have to change my party affiliation to Democrat, to vote for an Independent who is running as a Democrat. Think of the bullshit in that paragraph.. HEH!

Paul Ryan? lel

Listen, the voting system in the USA is so obsolete and screwed up. Obviously, if you're part of the establishment, you want to keep it that way.

ya it's a sad joke. USA is among the most technologically advanced countries on earth, yet we like to keep to our traditional values and vote on paper ballots! People waiting in line for ~4+ hours to vote during a primary... Closed primaries.. Voter Id issues.. Gerrymandering..

nice!

I will watch it on Saturday.

I can actually believe Freddie wanted Canelo rather than PBF... Because everyone knew PBF was going to school Pac... but that money $$ though..

ya Martin was so timid.. given all of his trash talk, at least throw some shots with bad intentions. He barely threw a hard punch. He was just a sitting duck. Game over.

So was i the only one impressed with this mixtape?!

just finally got around to watching it.. ya it was nasty. I watched basketball alot during those years, so I remember this season. The most impressive thing in that video, is all of the crazy fast ball movement, quick passes. They were such a well-oiled machine.

I think GSW's 73-9 (most likely) highlights will be even better.. much less dunks, far more crazy ball handling/insane shots.. lots of similar passing and fast break clips.. probably less defensive highlights, cept for maybe Draymond.

Curry pulls off several 'holy shit' moments per game.. To me, Jordan was simply unstoppable. He made far more points inside the 3-pt line. His turn-around fadeaways were money.

Curry on the other hand, often does so much crazy shit to get a shot off.. or he pulls up from ~5 ft behind the 3 pt line.

2016 GSW mixtape will just be an aerial bombardment from beyond the 3pt line.

ya i think we can call it that now.  :ibjumping: :ibrunning:

L-SLRVJ + running comeback.. calisthenics was in there too but.. fuck prolonged tension (for now) ;f

Also, your man Bern is getting screwed over lol  The Dems really just want to control which person gets the nomination.  The voters didn't even need to vote in Wyoming because their votes didn't even count, hilldog still got the most delegates even though she lost by 12%.

well, he just needs to keep winning. If he keeps winning, they won't be able to screw him over. He needs to make it undeniable. His supporters need to get everyone out to vote, in the upcoming primary contests.

if somehow he can win in NY... the game changes completely. However, polls have him down ~10 points or so unfortunately.

I'm still hopeful :) lol @ people telling him to get out of the race (now and months ago). He needs to push his message as long as possible.

The real screw-over is going to happen with Trump though.. I mean he will have a convincing delegate lead, probably without getting the clinching number, and they are just going to rip it from him. It does seem like Paul Ryan might be getting ready to jump into this thing at the convention. It's just crazy.

I haven't jumped in a gym in... ...... 2 years I think. And before that I haven't jumped in a gym for 5 years.

i miss jumping in that nba-level gym nearby.. best gym i've ever jumped in. floor is so beautiful ;d

thanks y'all  :D  also, lol acole/raptor. squatDR status.

some really nice jumps in there, absolutely loved that two hand rim grab.. that's a dunk-jump for sure. Also that one where yellow-shorts blocked most of it looked really high.. are you getting more amp'd up when people are around?

do you know if you can record in 720p? i'm getting 280p on youtube.

sick man. pC!

yeah the yellow shorts jump was around 36.5: base of palm but not quite wrist. very high for me but not quite PR-level. not sure it's the other people, i've just been getting up higher in general. but my highest jumps have all come with other people around so dunno. small sample size.

will see if i can up the resolution on the vids. not sure how to do that but i think the phone can even shoot 4k. should be able to shoot 720.

4k wtf? that would be fun to see.

one reason why I keep asking about it.. on your next PR jumps (38+) AND on your first dunk caught on vid, don't you want to see it in 4k or 720p? in all its glory?

 :ninja:

if you are recording in 720p/4k currently, and it's hitting youtube at 280p, then it's the software you're using to render the videos. You could always test by uploading the raw footage (which it seems like what you do already) to youtube. I suspect it's how you're actually recording and not how the video software (if you're using any) is downgrading quality.

i think im going to go dribble my bball.. nice! heh.

i need to get some 'deep knee bends' and such going, and some more movements in general.. bball dribbling would tackle that. Only thing i'm wondering about is my elbow. I've been putting it off because of my tennis-elbow but, it might actually do it some good.

fairly huge gap between R and L jumps, no? like 8+?

regarding vert, actually not that large of a difference right now. if I wanted I could hit 10'-10'1 with R-SLRVJ. Several months back I hit ~10'2" R-SLRVJ (which was a life time PR). So more like ~4-5" currently, but that will continue to grow (as my L-SLRVJ improves)

the enormous gap is "how it feels to jump" off each leg. It just feels like crap jumping off my R-SLRVJ; coordination, power, mentally, run-up, everything. So instead of pushing it i'm just getting some light reps in.

If I was focusing on R-SLRVJ though, I just don't see how it would improve as fast as my L-SLRVJ because of the coordination issues. I mean it probably looks decent, but, my ability to really generate power off of that leg barely exists. Just going to keep lightly repping it out and see what happens.

Roy Jones JR is my favorite boxer of all time... he's just, I don't know, amazing, looks unreal at times, has has a great combination of savagery, athleticism and "swagger"/arrogance.

nice! ya he's video game status.

he is #1 in many books.. going from jr middleweight to heavyweight is also insane.

only fighters i can remember with nearly as much swagger, is Prince Naseem Ahmed or Pernell Whitacker.. Naseem had insane power + swagger.

btw.. if you want to see some serious beast shit, nothing beats roy jones jr's highlight tape, with his own rap song, knocking everyone out. That part where he destroys the double end bag, in the intro at ~6-11 s gets me every time.. that is so unreal.. it's hard to explain how difficult that is.

also roy played professional basketball (CBA?).. most athletic boxer i've ever seen. You can see the basketball (streetball) influence in the ring. He's basically doing streetball shit in a boxing ring.

beast as fuck.

edit: FWIW, mayweather and pacquiao both love bball too, mayweather is actually decent (IIRC). Sergio Martinez could have played professional futbol I think.. futbol/basketball have to be great for footwork in the ring. Basketball even more-so because you also get that hand/arm coordination from dribbling.
