run home:
- 3.61 mi in 29:20
- speed: 7.4 mph
- pace: 8:07 min/mi

I've been meaning to clip my toenails this week.. but kept forgetting. Well, that could have come back to bite me a little. Left foot, big toe nail is hurting. Have a slight crack on the side. I trimmed them after my run.

My 2nd toenail on my left foot is insane. It's a huge hideous toenail on top of a new toenail. I need to take a pic.

Food

9 PM

- 1 pint of java chip haagen dazs

going to stretch and ice my elbow.

toenails bugging out.

got lots of coding done. 177 lines of code (using the interop lib, not the actual lib) generated 16,000. niice. Need to add the api stuff tomorrow. That should generate tons more. Got lots of stuff to figure out with this code generation project.

Idk I still call BS.  Nobody likes flaming shits and Idk ifor someone loves hot sauce so much that they justify having to put TP in the freezer to battle the hell that will happen.

The way she did it made it seem like she could say she carries watermelon or kool-aid packets with her at all times and it would have felt similar.

ya but it's not though.. apparently she does actually carry hot sauce with her at times. HEH.

it could be pandering given the show she was on, but I still think she deserves a pass on that. I think Trump's bible comments and Kasich's hideous pandering in NY are far worse.

Hillary's hot sauce & dancing (alleged) "pandering" are nothing compared to that :)

Proud of myself, did a set of 5 on BS and had the self discipline to leave it at that. Nothing was to be gained by forcing some meaningless PRs on squats. Saving it for track & dunking  :ibrunning: :ibjumping:

nice  :highfive:

On depth jumps i'm kinda meh about this exercise. I will try to increase frequency and do them twice weekly. The first one will be "intense" 2x6  off 21" and the 2nd one can be "volume" 3x8 off 12-16". That will help me separate depth jumps into strength and speed days respectively. Hopefully that gives better bang for buck.

do you have a goal overhead to reach for? ie bball rim, vertec, something? that makes depth jumping more effective & fun.. the exercise definitely becomes less meh when there's something to reach for (or even a jump matt, but no one has those).

Broad jumps .. hit a PR then had to leave immediately after. Got it on vid. Later realised i had left it on 720p and forgot to change to 1080p to get better quality. Oh well. Next time.. haha. Video below anyways.

^whaddya reckon guys .. am i improving or nah?

wish you had that exact angle for when you initially performed the exercise.. because compared to your first video, looks dramatically better now. Overall it looked good. I personally prefer the style in your last jump, which is more of an "upright bounce, with less time gathering yourself on the ground".. but that's hard to do on your first broad jump. If you were doing 5-10 broad jumps, most of them would be in the style of that last jump, which is good.

As for movement efficiency for hands/arms, ya it's definitely a thing. You ever see people who are just complete spazzes with their arms/shoulders? Your arm swing looks good overall, especially on the 2nd/3rd jumps. Your first broad jump takes a while to get going, try and be more aggressive on that first jump & see what happens.

video quality was nice.. looked like a great day out.

ALSO!!!! Hillary, not all black people are obsessed with hot sauce so claiming that you carry hot sauce everywhere you go trying to copy beyonce to appeal to the black community is horseshit.  Show you carry hot sauce on you at all times or  :gtfo:

#Proveyouhavehotsauce
#Hotsauceliar
#DirtyDickHotSauce aka #MonicasSuckStick
(its a real hot sauce name lol)

http://time.com/4299124/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-hot-sauce/

apparently she's a legit hot sauce connoisseur.

what she said (and where she said it) could still be considered pandering I guess.. but given all of the evidence of her fucking loving hot sauce for a very long time, lmao, she deserves a pass on that one ;f

as far as the trans/bathroom thing goes... does it really matter if you go into the bathroom designated for your gender? I get the concern about people abusing this "acceptance" in the act of perversion.. but, that is probably going to be extremely rare AND women's bathrooms have stalls.

actual acts of indecency, perversion, sexual misconduct etc from a man entering a woman's bathroom, can lead to prosecution.. the same if a woman does so in a men's bathroom.

so I really don't get the concern.. If I walked into the men's bathroom and I saw a female, it'd be weird, i'd probably walk out to make sure i'm in the correct bathroom.. then realizing i'm in the correct bathroom, i'd go back in and handle my business. It really wouldn't bother me, afaik.

The GOP seems to always phrase it as if it's a male child predator entering a women's bathroom to violate your kid.. blatant scare tactics, as usual.

And like LBSS said..

trans people go to the bathroom because they have to take a piss, just like everyone else. more republican politicians have been arrested for sexual crimes in bathrooms than trans people.

If everything we do is framed with these artificial fears, we're so fucked. The same case can be made for leaving kids alone with priests or teachers. We're toast.

i don't know all of the details but if conor is basically protesting having to do a million pressers all over the place, that's kind of cool.

Looks to me like they promote heel strike on their runs.

ya.

i figured out what it looks like.. if you watch that vid, it basically looks like this guy is about to shit himself. as he gets closer to his destination in the city, looks like he's ready to explode.

the shoes are probably definitely promoting that weirdness I see. maybe excessive heel striking makes it look like you're going to crap yourself? i'll have to go check youtube.

dude how did i miss that before. what was the context for that?!?! lol adarq looks exactly like mike miller. forgot.

also, re: health care. we have a high-functioning single-payer health care system in this country. it's called medicare. approval ratings from seniors are consistently high and costs are low. obamacare was a gigantic achievement but it left too much power in the hands of private insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and big hospital corporations.

bring on single payer.

yup

I love the help you get from the kid at 0:16 in the video.

I'm thinking maybe it's just a big middle finger to the UFC after the arguments over his choice of location for his training camp and not doing any pressers in the lead up to UFC200.

ya that's what it is looking like:

so i'm officially moving to pakistan, probably at the end of may/beginning of june. signed the contract yesterday. today i agreed with my boss that my last day in my current job will be may 4. so i'll have most of may off to relax, visit people, pack up my seven years' worth of stuff, and put in storage everything i don't throw out or ship to islamabad.

whoa congrats. sounds like a huge change, actually moving there. what's the longest you've spent outside the U.S.? several months iirc.

well, this thread may come to an end earlier than expected..

conor is retiring?

http://thebiglead.com/2016/04/19/conor-mcgregor-retirement-announcement-ufc/

if you retire after watching a fighter die in the ring, I don't expect you come back from that.. that basically means you've just had all of the fight shaken out of you.
