Looks to me like they promote heel strike on their runs.

ya.

i figured out what it looks like.. if you watch that vid, it basically looks like this guy is about to shit himself. as he gets closer to his destination in the city, looks like he's ready to explode.

the shoes are probably definitely promoting that weirdness I see. maybe excessive heel striking makes it look like you're going to crap yourself? i'll have to go check youtube.

lol

dude how did i miss that before. what was the context for that?!?! lol adarq looks exactly like mike miller. forgot.

also, re: health care. we have a high-functioning single-payer health care system in this country. it's called medicare. approval ratings from seniors are consistently high and costs are low. obamacare was a gigantic achievement but it left too much power in the hands of private insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and big hospital corporations.

bring on single payer.

yup

I'm thinking maybe it's just a big middle finger to the UFC after the arguments over his choice of location for his training camp and not doing any pressers in the lead up to UFC200.

ya that's what it is looking like:

so i'm officially moving to pakistan, probably at the end of may/beginning of june. signed the contract yesterday. today i agreed with my boss that my last day in my current job will be may 4. so i'll have most of may off to relax, visit people, pack up my seven years' worth of stuff, and put in storage everything i don't throw out or ship to islamabad.

whoa congrats. sounds like a huge change, actually moving there. what's the longest you've spent outside the U.S.? several months iirc.

well, this thread may come to an end earlier than expected..

conor is retiring?

http://thebiglead.com/2016/04/19/conor-mcgregor-retirement-announcement-ufc/

if you retire after watching a fighter die in the ring, I don't expect you come back from that.. that basically means you've just had all of the fight shaken out of you.

is it my lying eyes, or does spence have just the weest bit of gyno going on there? roidy roid roids, anyone?

damn dno, hope not. i suck at identifying that stuff.

your goal should be 48" running vert. four feet. do it.

that'd be psycho.. he's already been pretty close to that.

comprehensive testing ftw ^^

those hanging leg raises are actually pretty impressive.. 24 hanging from pullup bar? to me that's pretty beast.

Have still been jumping, doing deadlifts here and there. Still planting LR, tried RL today, bothered my left knee a bit, so am gonna stop. I feel like I need to work on 1 or 2 step jumps to properly work on having a long penultimate step. On a full approach, I'm trying to have a long penultimate step, but I'm doing this weird thing where I make my 2nd last step long, bu then my penultimate step is short. Maybe I'm still quad dominant?

dno if one can say just because of the length of those last two steps whether it's quad dominance or not. at least I don't know, that's for sure.

it's something you can play with during warmup jumps etc... but when you go max effort, that stuff is pretty hard to change. I never really tried to change it when I was actually going max, only thing I thought of was getting more aggressive (in general and in my runup), and jumping harder + aggressive arm swing.

in general, with pretty much everything, the less you have in your mind when performing something @ max effort, the better. you basically want to just go all out and lose yourself. This is what happens when we have those occasional amazing jumps in a pickup game for example, where we just aren't thinking at all, yet get up so good, unexpectedly. The more thinking you do during a movement while going max effort, the worse the outcome, usually.. (in my opinion).

pc!

Musk would fuck you up so bad. He's basically ironman.

relax!
