whacked the hell out of my knee on the corner of the bed last night. hurt a bit starting out this morning. shoulder is also on a downswing.

lmao stuff like that is the worst.. sometimes (rarely) I whack my knee getting into my car, knee hits something below the dash and just wrecks it. have actually had it swell up before (way back).

things i do on occasion: stub my toe, bang my head, bang my shoulder, bang my elbow, bang my knee, step on a rock outside barefoot and experience neural shutdown (the worst) lmao, bite my lip really bad (actually this is the worst - because once you do it, it'll happen several more times in the near future).

lol. Hitting the little toe till it turns out fat. Biting the lip omg is so bad you actually hear/feel the crunch. especially when you bite it with your canines.

Salido vs Roman - Salido just looks a little too old and sluggish, so he would find hard against people who aren't sluggers.

No workouts this week. Focussed on getting mobile and flexible for my squat, which has been going well, I can squat with hands over shoulder without hip flexibility issue. Only need to address is my back when I squat down body weight with hands over shoulder my mid back being stretched and a little rounded, which I try and fight against and is a little sore after. So will need to improve back mobility.

Rigo quit. Unreal.

Supposed hand injury, doubt it. He was getting owned at the end.

I love how Loma hits Rigo after the bell, nothing. Very next round, Rigo holds, point deduction. Somewhat of a weird fight. Loma spazzing out during those clinches was odd, definitely rattled Rigo though. He hit Rigo with some great shots the first time he spazzed out in the clinch.

Loma used hammer fists & other rabbit punches, late hits on break, hit after the bell etc. Then he cries when he barely gets hit low. I dno, he just bugs me lately.

“no mas chenko”.

I feel like the people who hate Mayweather Jr. I want someone to KTFO Loma.

I know right. WTF happened to rigo. I gave rigo round one and the rest to Loma.
Rigo was soo bad, he had poor defence, he relied too much on his counter that he was never aggressive.

One thing I really didn't like about rigo's tactics, given he has good slip and slide but in this fight I don't know why he would lower his head and slide and stay in crouched position letting loma hit him like wtf. Rigo had no aggression.

While loma as I had predicted was able to get in and out and what is all the holding about from Rigo just a waste of time then to see him quit on the stool just made it worse.  :uhhhfacepalm:. Loma made Rigo look bad.

lol at the spazzing out. But you can see why as it is quite annoying when your opportunity to get some combo's close is just stopped. He also didn't want the ref to break it he wanted to come out of it badly on his own so he could come back in and hit him.

I wanted Rigo to win even though he was soo bad, so I understand what you mean about hating Loma but I like combo and style but not his tactics. so I would like him to be humbled. :P

Injured hand is the norm in boxing. I think this was just a way for him to get out of the fight.

Ok yup, lower back (specifically spinal erectors) is fried. Not broken I believe just seriously fatigued and tight. Had to drop weight in todays bent over rows considerably and that was after dropping a few ibuprofen in my pre workout lol! Managed to get the work done tho without considerable pain just tender and sore. Skipped some of the more intensive core work in attempt to be healed up for Mondays squats. Im thinking ill spemd the rest of 2017 focusing on getting my strength up and doing a lot of unilateral assistance work on my legs then try some ME plyo and dunk work in early Jan.

Man that sucks.

Do you think you would be able to manage the mckenzie stretch method for that lower back problem.

Where you lie on your front and you raise your upper body and resting on your forearms on the floor to hold your body there and when you can progress you can progress towards going on your hands and progressively straightening it out.

good luck with it. just my 2 cents.

No workouts this week, I had to attend an assessment centre, god willing, I get the position.

Will probably do some mobility work for my squats and do some running on saturday.

Note to self:

Back mobility - on all 3s, one hand over other stretched in front then you sit back keeping arm straight and head between your arms and stretch, same as previous but place hands on foam roller with hands facing up stretch  hold hand behind back and keep arm straight pull towards the ceiling while lowering your upper body. hold stick wide and bring forward and back and rotate around upper body while holding with two hands. lie on side, place top on foam roller and arms together straight in front then you move the top arm up and towards the back and hold then bring back. place upper back on peanut (2 tennis balls) and raise upper back up and down, then move peanut a little lower and do same up to mid back. same with foam roller, don't let lower back move keep core braced.

stand in small squat, knees slight bent with band tied to pole behind you grab with one hand, brace core and then raise arm in front without hyper extending your back.

ankle mobility - calf stretches, knee over ankle press

hip mobility - open hips out with kelly starret hip mobility work, band distraction, deep squat with knees pushed wide.

hamstring stretch while in anterior tilt.

Rigondeaux hitting the mitts

Lomachenko - don't see much hitting the mitts.

Rigondeaux is very good and calculated, while you have lomachenko who is dynamic throwing the combos. Very interesting fight.

One thing that makes me doubt rigondeaux is will he able to carry his strength and power to the new weight. Rigondeaux is moving up a weight to fight loma so wouldn't reduce his chances. I also love lomachenko besides the circus acts from time to time.

I pick lomachenko UD12 cos he can go in and out. But it's hard to pick it's literally #1 vs #2

simple explanation: your arms have mass. holding them in front of yourself shifts your center of gravity forward, which makes it easier to balance as you squat. the more mobile your hips and ankles, the easier it is to squat without sitting back.

I can also do the same thing with my arms crossed with each hand touching the opposite shoulder. But with each hand above my shoulder just makes it awkward.

just a quick question for your advise. In regards to my squat. When I have my arms in front parallel to ground stretched out in front, I can squat down as deep as I want without any problems. No mobility issue or anything. As soon as I pretend I have a barbell on my shoulder like in a normal high position back squat, when I bring my hand up to hold on to the imaginary barbell as soon as squat down at around 90 degree knee bend my hips stop me going lower like it's tight or limiting me going further and my form just gets ruined and therefore slight force is required to go deeper.

What do you think could be the possible reason.

damn did cotto finish that fight with a torn bicep? from round 7?

WTF?

Damn, I missed the fight but saw the highlight. I didn't except sadam ali to be quite good. Cotto landed some power shots but ali was agile and landed those clean shots especially the one that rocked him. Cotto was not defending as normal maybe because of the torn bicep.

Dela hoya says that he has a confirmed torn bicep, which shows his warrior side. No official news about it yet.
