Adarq, you try his breathing for long distance? in in out out with the foot strikes?

When I'm concentrating I try to go for breathe in for 2 and out for 2, but that lasts for about 30 seconds and i go back to crap.

ill check it out tmw. i imagine i just do some of that stuff naturally but i dno..

well if crap allows you to carry on a higher pace then maybe it's not so crap... but if your pace dies and your breathing dies then ya, wrecked.

What the hell has happened to CLE??? Is home court advantage that big for these guys?

WTF?

it's not only that CLE couldn't hit threes.. it's more-so that TOR hit tons of big shots.

The 4th quarter for CLE is problematic.. how do you go 11/11 mostly in the paint, then start chucking up garbage threes? I don't understand it.

Hey Kevin Love.. STOP SHOOTING. get to the basket.

I'm glad TOR is making this a series though.. great stuff.. i'm pulling for toronto :) (undoubtable).. just hard for me not to root for underdogs.  :ninja: Derozan is just ballin`. And Bizmack is a difference maker; he doesn't get discouraged, he just keeps hustling/working/scrapping.. props to TOR.

also... Draymond not getting suspended is mind blowing..  :o

have you ever tried breathing on a step count? when i was running i would count steps for in-breath and out-breath and try to maintain the slowest rhythm i could, or pick up the pace until i couldn't anymore and then maintain the new rhythm. just a way of moderation. e.g. "in-two-three-out-two-three-four-in-two-three-out-two-three-four". and focus on breathing through both mouth and nose.

ya, it's something i tend to do naturally.. i don't know what i actually do but i end up doing in-in-in-out sometimes (i think). though, if i'm 'over exerting' i think i just take big breathes in and out (instead of rhythm).

g-smith's btl off glass was nice.

kilganon's first dunk was one of my favorites.. you don't see anyone 180'ing OVER someone.

Boxing / Re: Lara and Charlo's
« on: May 23, 2016, 01:21:33 pm »
man jermell, jermall, jarmell, it's so confusing.. F the charlo parents. ;f

ya i'd like to see ANYONE with skills take on GGG.. only lower tier fighters want to get in the ring with him, because 1) money 2) they have nothing to lose. Canelo needs to fire Hoya if he can't make this fight soon. frustrating.

Lara is like a more boring version of mayweather, with less speed and reflexes.. he's got great skills though, he's just not "fan friendly", even most boxing fans. Hard to see him getting a rematch with Canelo, because it would have to be pay-per-view... no one is going to order that.

GGG vs Canelo or GGG vs Ward are the fights I want to see.. I just want to see a legit threat get in there with GGG.. because I really think he's the truth. You can see he's "bored" in every fight.. it's just too easy for him. It's ridiculous. He wouldn't be bored vs Ward or Canelo, then we'd see what GGG is really about.

so many good fights to be made though.. Lomanchenko fights soon I think.. also Thurman/Porter!

having jesus christ as her coach seems to have worked out better for her than it did for ryan hall.

she prayed harder.

ryan hall had tons of injuries, sucks.. i just checked to see if he was back into running, saw his twitter, he's bulked up quite a bit.. he's a lift-bro now.

dno.. I think he will be. There's no way they could suspend Dahntay Jones and not suspend Draymond.

RIP Adams nuts tho.

draymond... draymond.. draymond.

dumb move. can't imagine he won't get suspended.. looked intentional.

wow did GSW get knocked the fuck out.

If he gets suspended are they out? Would make it a lot harder if he is.

not necessarily but.. if they go down 3-1? ya.. HEH! man draymond is such a huge part of that team, if he's suspended over something so stupid, going to be rough.. you know GSW is going to come out HARD in game 4 though.. everything banks on that game.. if GSW wins it, then series is even, no prob.. if they lose, pretty much done for. OKC is such a tough place to play in too.. that arena is electric for OKC.

Quote
And yeah it looked intentional. After the fact. No reason to be raising his leg like that.

the entire game changed after that incident too.. there's just no reason for cheap shit.. i dno if he's trying to become more like rodman or what.. but after that cheap shot, OKC blew up. Just no reason to do anything cheap when you're only down a few points wtf?

Quote
OKCs game plan should be KD in the first half and then let Russell take over once he's warmed up and taken all his shit shots.

ya exactly.. for the most part he seems to start slow.. he's usually on in the 3rd/4th, but not the last few minutes of the 4th.. lmao

- 1 KM: 3:25  :personal-record: by 1 second
- good run, tried breathing entirely via nose (in & out), turned out to be very bad.. could only do tha for ~1m:30s or so, then moved entirely to mouth breathing.
- lost a decent amount of time starting around 4:23 to 5:37 -> dropped under 10mph here.. so significant drop after running pretty good. need to fix that.

happy but should have run that even faster.. so not as happy as I could be.

I see. Well that's probably gonna take me more than a year I guess. I wish we had a vertec at my gym too though, 10'6 is just a rough estimate.

i don't have access to a vertec anymore either.. i miss it. though, SLRVJ on a vertec always felt very awkward to me.

Are you still into dunking, but off one foot now?

nah.. can't jump high enough right now.. i'm slowly trying to get back up there, bu not using the same methods I used last time (which were mostly aimed at DLRVJ not SLRVJ).

Quote
I'm also curious to see what height you need to be touching to be able to put down lobs.

for me, from past experience, 10'10.. i mean that's to really land it clean.

Quote
I think i'm touching around 10'6 right now, but doesn't feel like I'm even close to being able dunk a lob.

ya you need a few more inches.

10'6 i don't feel comfortable either.. i'm like 10'4 max (on average), with 10'6 on a really good day.. need to get to ~10'8 before I try some dunks again, which would give me a few more inches when going for lobs, so that'd give me my 10'10 probably.
