is it possible to just fast-forward life to Sunday/8 PM ET?

Freal. Was talking about the series earlier and realized this isn't a basketball series. This is a boxing match between two huge punchers. After 6 games we have zero point differential and no close games... Last year we had two overtime games in the first three but yet everyone knows this series is better...

It's interesting that such a good story can be told through blowouts! But so many good stories and massive changes and swings make this a great series...

hah, interesting analogy.. ya this is the Gatti / Ward, Castillo / Corrales, Bradley / Provodnikov, Vargas / Miura -> of basketball. Those fights were only close, in how much damage was inflicted each round. Basically fighters trading "blow out rounds". In alot of those fights, the guy who looked done early, came back to win..

round 12 coming soon.

there's something about weathering the storm too.. GSW did it vs OKC.. now CLE is doing it vs GSW. Interesting turn of events.. Two potential 3-1 comebacks.

2016 is the year of the blowouts.. even NFL Superbowl was lopsided.

also.. LEBRON. :ninja:

this hooliganism is out of control.. crazy stuff going on in this euro 2016.

dude could have gotten his hand blown off.. horrible.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7HALPvNXa4

Yea dude it's wild, first the mma trained Russians attacking fans and now some Croatia fans throwing flares. I didn't really understand why since Croatia was up and on its way to securing qualification with 6 points. They ended up tying after that happened. Just wild stuff that I hope security can stifle.

ya it's crazy. made no sense.. i guess when hooligans are angry/confident/winning, they attack.. and when they are angry/losing, they attack.... HEH. if they did that stuff in the US (say in Copa), US security would probably shoot them, thinking they are terrorists.. pretty disrespectful to do that stuff in Europe given all of the stress their security/people are under from the threats they are facing.

On another note, I've enjoyed copa america more than the Euros so far which I didn't expect. The European squads have just gotten so tactical with their play that they're almost robotic with their approach. No one wants to give up space or opportunities so few risks taken and not many goals.

The copa america on the other hand has had many exciting games with open play where teams are risking more and bringing more excitement out.

Lastly, I just watched Chile pounce on Mexico 7-0 and I have to say I've never been more suspicious with a team as in this match. Mexico has been playing very well as of late and had great momentum plus the crowd on their side tonight.

So first 15min I see the Chilean players pressing hard and making many full effort sprints both to win the ball and to attack. I'm like ohh crap this is making for exciting play, I wonder if they'll get a goal before they tire. They score and I'm thinking okay the plan worked now they can sit back a little. They keep going max effort everything up to the half and score another to make it 2-0. At this point I'm like okay wow I've never seen a team play at that intensity for that long it's quite strange. If I was the Mexico coach I wouldn't know what to say except keep playing your game and they'll tire, wear down, and we can get back to it.

So second half starts and the Chilean players are back at it again with crazy high intensity pressing and runs to create opportunities. They cause turnovers and keep scoring. I dunno man I've never seen anything like that after watching a lot a lot of soccer matches. Their players look quite strong and stocky (sprinter like) but just the fact they kept challenging with crazy intensity for such a long time made it suspicious to me. I haven't seen the fittest of the fit able to sustain that sort of play. Dunno maybe it's great training or I'm missing something but I just had the feeling of this seems off. The one player who stood out is 30yo and just now making appearances for Chile internationally. He was just amazing in his ability to track back and tackle at full speed (played as a attacking winger) then make full out runs to create scoring opportunities on the other hand and even had two goals himself.

I'll see if I read anything about this tomorrow but it just seemed off to me. They do have two superstars who played great as well but just the level of explosive fitness from the rest of the squad seemed unnatural almost. Just in awe.

damn.. now i'm pissed i missed that match. tmw ill see if i can check some of the highlights etc.

copa has def been exciting, so much attacking.. euro has been good but, lots of missed opportunities; for example, Ronaldo was beast today but missed everything, even that free kick. If portugal doesn't get into the second round in Euro, and Brazil didn't in Copa, pretty nuts.

Tuesday, USA vs Argentina (9 PM).. going to be sick. too bad we're missing a few players due to red/yellow cards.. whatever tho, we still have Dempsey. :F

with 7 days a week though you're going to have to REALLY listen to your body. high freq squatting worked wonders for me, but i also didn't do much else other than jump/dunk and some plate swings/bodyweight upper etc. got to be careful especially early on, not to overdo it.

also you have to make sure to squash the ego always.. if you squat every day, it can be a roller coaster. every day your "training max" changes, based on fatigue/supercompensation etc.. so you just need to make sure you don't force yourself into lifts that are too heavy for that specific day.

sucks about your knee though.. F playing basketball :f I didn't play because I knew i'd get hurt & it'd kill my progress.. even though it would have been fun, I personally just always end up breaking or spraining something; wasn't worth it unfortunately :(

don't brute force your way through it, give it some more rest!

DLRVJ: LR plant (off-foot plant) x30: managed to hit 31" a few times. Awesome height for off-foot, felt awkward, completely different technique from my RL

ya damn, that is good.

RL-DLRVJ feels alien to me.. R-SLRVJ feels much better.

i'm trying not to neglect my off-leg anymore.. even though i'm only submax jumping with it, it's still better than nothing.. feeling progress for sure.

At your peak as well as now how close was your RL slrvj to your LL version? I peaked a few months ago and could do dunks w left leg and of course off two feet and my numbers were about:

Standing single leg left: 26
Standing single leg right: 27
Standing dl: ~34
1 step dl LR ~40
1 step dl RL ~35
Multi step LR: ~45
Multi step RL: ~35
Running sl left: ~36
Running sl right: ~29

:ibjumping: stats ^^

as for me:

Standing single leg left: WNA
Standing single leg right: WNA
Standing dl: ~30
1 step dl LR ~33
1 step dl RL NA
Multi step LR: ~39
Multi step RL: ~30
Running sl left: ~35
Running sl right: ~25

WNA = would never attempt .. i personally can't stomach SVJ off one leg.. :F

somewhere around there.. my R-SLRVJ was BAD, barely nicking rim. My L-SLRVJ grew as my LR-DLRVJ grew.. In fact I didn't even know I had an L-SLRVJ until one day just trying it after ~45 minutes of bad two footed jumping.. so it was improving without me even knowing about it.

The R-variants didn't grow much at all: R-SLRVJ, RL-DLRVJ.

i think those numbers are all pretty much in the ballpark.. looks somewhat similar to your numbers, relatively.

Quote
I'm wondering if my lack of RL plant can be explained by the fact that my numbers really don't see to make much sense relative to each other...

i would definitely imagine that to be the case.. in RL-DLRVJ, that R leg will be the one you're loading up on, so definitely makes sense that RL-DLRVJ would suffer if R-SLRVJ suffers, in comparison to the LR/L variations.

LeBron on Klay’s comments about having his feeling hurt: "I’ve taken the high road for 13 years and I’m gonna take it again."

High Road. invisible bridge used to step over said person when open floor is available left to right.

:derp: Ayesha wins.

Down go GSW, down goes Ayesha's posting.

lmao wtf?

what's rigged? Curry had ~2 bad calls against him, but everything else was a legit sloppy foul IIRC.

she mad.

hilarious in context to ghettoracer's post too.. ;f

if Lebron/CLE pulls this off, can't wait to see how lebron-haters spin this one.. maybe they'll diminish it by saying Draymond got suspended, or call it rigged etc. I'd like to see some of them come around though.

As far as humility goes.. how can you see Lebron's post-game interviews and such, and not be able to separate his in-game intensity from his outisde-game big heart/respectful demeanor/professionalism etc? That definitely is baffling to me. I thought he definitely gave Sager a bit "extra" when he yelled into the camera, asking how this could possibly be Sager's first finals.

dat dude.

No i dont think any of that matters now, if you look at this series and this game, coming back from 3-1 is already done, so is regular season. reg season mvp doesn't matter. Coach of the year is regular season fodder. Look at the finals and only the finals, i think you have to conceed cavs are favourites. I dont know how the gambling odds go but in my mind the dubs are the underdog. Bogut wasn't pivotal last year's finals and he was on the bench while David Lee came up big. This year they don't have either after Bogut's injury. I'm not sure bout Andre's injury but without a Lebron stopper (and if anyone is that, it's Andre), Cavs shud have a pretty straight forward game. Plus momentum.

sure but.. if a lesser quality fighter is getting dominated for 11 rounds, and then has an amazing 12th round & has the champ hurt, the guy who has been dominating him isn't all of a sudden the underdog.. I get what you're saying but, to just look at it only from game 7, I just can't buy that.. hah.

the underdog is still the underdog.... ;f
