The jumps look like 10'10'' to me, if our hand size is the same ( 8'' ).

I probably under-estimated those jumps quite a bit if I thought they were 10'8".. definitely 10'9, MAYBE 10'10.. pretty cool. I wonder if that 10'9" I hit a while back was even higher.. I guess the cool thing about estimating via hitting the rim is that, error is always on the side of being higher, not lower.. for example if we're not fully extended or our arm is angled towards the rim.

also.. i'm still not too obsessed with actually wanting to dunk. I'm more obsessed with just doing max jumps. That's kind of cool.. Will make for a bit less exciting videos in the future ;f I'd like to keep trying to get higher on my max jumps without a lob/ball etc for a while. Reminds me of jumping with a vertec, which is crazy fun..

but basically, i'm sore AF.. and jump-specific soreness: left glute crazy sore, right erectors/lat crazy sore, upper back/shoulders sore.

and I passed out early (2AM).

i'm still tired. Need to snap out of it.

thanks! I think the highest is ~10'9" but, I only felt 10'8" that session (from those pics).. BUT, I did hit the rim with my wrist a few times with my arm leaning forward slightly so.. that's why it could have been ~10'9" ish... and highest i've gotten since the "comeback" is 10'9" based where I hit my wrist.

so 10'9" would be ~33", based on a ~96" single arm reach. So 11' would be 36" for me.. trying to get back to 11'.

10'9" is definitely where I "maxed out" without weights.. legs don't feel strong enough to get any higher without lifting or doing tons of plyos. I was planning on going the high volume plyo route but, I just have too many little aches/tweaks, so it's not a good idea. Squatting is actually much safer soo, that's why i've caved and started squatting again.. I need my legs to "feel" stronger. They mostly just feel too weak. My quads have been getting sore lately so, that's a good sign.

You still have the same form in the air, with your body position, as you had when you were jumping off two.

ya I noticed that too.. kind of interesting. Because remember way back, during my peak dunking, out of nowhere I started dunking with L-SLRVJ and I was getting up pretty ridiculous considering I hadn't been doing L-SLRVJ's other than really light layups. My left leg is doing most of the work, it seems ;f

haha.. probably a bit more than 10%, he's a meatball. It's funny, "genetics". Apparently every pup in his litter is ~10 lb.. and here he is, ~15 lb... and could easily be ~16+ lb. if I didn't give him so much exercise and restrict his food.

his non-blood brother is ~9 lb. and is freaky reactive.. He barely eats and just maintains weight/power/strength. He's much more "efficient". He's the one which I witnessed him jumping ~24+ inches off the ground, which is almost 2x his body size lmao.

8:30 PM

- jumps:
- warmup
- ~25 L-SLRVJ jumps: max ~10'8 maybe 10'9
- LR-DLRVJ: max ~10'6
- right leg tightened up during warmup jumps.. squatting wrecking my quads.. good sign

got in some decent jumps, pics above

MR half tuck jumps:
- 1 x 20, 1 x 20, 1 x 30
- really good, decent bounce

half squat:
- 45 lb. x 15
- 135 lb. x 10
- 135 lb. x 30
- happy with that set.. wanted to do some more sets but it was raining hard, and lightning.. not smart to be in a power rack while it's lightning.

- big stir fry: grilled chicken, 1 potatoe, 2 carrots, 1 broccoli, serrano pepper, red chili pepper, kalamata olives, one big turmeric, olive oil, cherries/goat cheese at the end

legs feel pretty wrecked.. got in some great coding today.. really going good right now, very happy about it. working on getting "organizations" added back into the app (index, new, update, delete, view) etc.. once i do that, then i need to do the same thing for forums, boards, threads, and thread posts.. then i also need likes/stars, and pm's. that'll probably take a week or more.. once that's done, i'll be almost back to where I was when i left off on the other app.

so things are starting to move a little quicker.. stuff is taking shape.

i'm going to include less features than i had before, just to get this thing closer to the "first useable version".. since i've had to re-write iti n haskell, i've lost alot of time.. so those features can come back later.

oh man this was good af. first time i've "heated up cherries" and it was amazing. those cherries were "hot" and would just explode with juicyness when you'd bite into them. only warmed them up for ~30 seconds and placing them on the stir fry kept them warm.





haven't done this in a long time.. bunch of jump pics! i'll probably upload a video one of them to my old adarqtv account.

also, i really need to figure out how to record on my phone.. i think it's the autofocus which is wrecking things. Need to see if it's enabled.. because, basically as I run into view and jump etc, it does all of this weird zoom in/out/blur stuff. Need to fix that next time. Several of the clips were blurry as hell.

didn't jump as good as last session.. probably ~1" lower. but jumped pretty good.

You probably were exhausted or something when you wrote this post as the fight is on the 23/07/2016, but whos counting (2nd date typo  :P), but it doesn't matter.

But I agree it will be a good fight, the taller boxer postol vs the smart puncher crawford, postol may have the height advantage, as that makes it harder on the opponent but for crawford, it wont be a problem because he is just that good, looking at his previous fights and postol's inexperience of fighting top contenders, I see it as probably postol trying to make it awkward and rugged but postol will be able to clear it up and comeout with the win, i dont see a knockout happening but a UD.

ya my sense of time is all wrecked. ;(

In a way, it might be the other way around, since you use more weight - there's a bigger chance that one of the smaller muscles gets overwhelmed and messes up your form/compromises stability.

ya for sure that's always a possibility.. but, you're in a stronger "anatomical position" if form is maintained properly.

all variations are dangerous if form is compromised. i'd definitely say the variations (half/quarter) with the most load on your back, are the most dangerous if performed with bad form. spine injury > knee injury.



Ive used quarter/halves duringg peaking for a few weeks with, what i can tell, decent results. Come to think of it...I havent used them in almost a year. I'll program some in after this block!
