ya I imagine that is good for 12" arms.. my biceps are probably ~12", they are weak af.

obviously im not gna be doing 60kg curls with 12" arms haha .. they're gna be cheat curls .. but i did worksets of 55kg last wk and next workout im going for 57.5kg worksets. 60kg is just around the corner. Once ive mastered it for cheat curls .. i can prob do strict ones with say 50kg. And cheat curling 70kg prob get me to strict curl 60kg. I'm just being honest here .. the idea is when im doing strict 60kg curls i will prob get close to 15" and over which would be amazing :)

ah..

3" to your bicep would be alot of MEAT.

that's one thing we never see people talk about here.. one plate curls and such. 135 lb. that's pretty damn beast. not many people into grip training. I used to love grip training (before dunking). Had CoC grippers, nails, sledge hammers, and I have a farmer's walk implements, 2" and 3" thick bar. lmao.

i focused on curls at one point, did 'safe singles' and cheat variations.. really helped. but i'd get that crazy wrist pain on occasion, feels like shin splints in your wrists. absolutely hated that.

Women's 100m Final

Elaine Thompson won in 10.71.
Torie Bowie 2nd in 10.83 and Shelly Ann Fraser came 3rd in 10.86.

ya, sick.

i was just coming on to post about that and:

usain bolt: didn't look great in his start, but man o man did he look good towards the end.. beastmode.

mo farah: 10k gold.. not sure why these guys are holding back so much though man.. push the damn pace. Mo Farah fell and still had no problems.. seemed like an easy win for him. Glad he won but, not sure what his competition is thinking tbh.

08/12/2016

Bio: Morning

last night's sleep: ~8 hours
last night fell asleep: ~2 AM
wakeup = 11 AM
bw = 150 lb.

injuries = none
standing desk (when on computer): none
feel = good
water = alot

Food

12 PM

"tomato basil mozzarella" pizza..  :headbang:

Food

7 PM

Evening: Session

8 PM

walk to court: ~1 mi

dribbling/layups: ~45 min
- people on every court
- legs felt dead

some submax jumps:

at this point.. drenched/dead.

some submax dunk attempts with my new lob ball:
- new lob ball is SOLID
- got it to bounce wherever I wanted..
- mostly just did weak tip-in layups, hitting rim and the ball .. like i advise to people who suck at lobs
- though, I had two submax attempts where I actually caught a really nice jump + lob and actually almost threw it down.

left leg/quad was achy.. which is scary. don't want that quad issue again.

read this:

Quote
Take the challenge.  Do two things.  Both are in your capability.  Run 400m in under 55 seconds.  One lap.  Do it.  It doesn't take speed but it takes work.  Also do the follow.  10 reps of 150 meters.  Start on the curve, finish at the end of the straight - walk quickly for half a turn and get down and do 5 pushups and start from pushup position on your next rep.   Do 10 reps, keep all reps under 25 seconds.  Finish the workout in less than 10 minutes - that means only about 20 seconds for the quick walk/jog between reps and about 10 seconds for your pushups.  Then rest 10-20 minutes.  Repeat it.  I will promise you that if you achieve those two goals you will be the fittest guy on your team.  Nobody will question your fitness and you will have juice for the entire game.  But its gonna suck far more than long runs...

then read this:

the 150 repeat workout sounds like hell on earth.

then lmfao'd.

and ya to t0ddday's point.. you could have the most beast aerobic base on the planet.. but if your anaerobic base isn't up to par, repeated sprints are going to wreck you.

if you don't want to do anything "specifically planned", jog + sprint is pretty effective.. jog light (recovery jog), sprint some distance (mix it up), repeat for several miles.. it's pretty fun, but still intense.

i've done that on quite a few occasions.. even just 3 miles seems pretty effective and grueling.

12/08/16 - 4pm

Squats
Bar x 10, 60 x 5, 90 x 4, 110 x 4

Ohp
Bar x 10, 30 x 8, 40 x 8, 8, 8

Squats went surprisingly well. Will go back in to the next week with a 115 max and build back up again. Will only take a couple of weeks.

Only bad thing is my rib. Last Thursday I coughed that bad that I strained a rib muscle. It's was ok but I definitely felt it on the 90 and 110 sets.

how we can exert so much force in competition, training, etc.. then strain a muscle coughing. life is a twisted joke, we are all being trolled. :ninja:

Worst squat session ever.

when you get consistent with squatting, sh*t comes back FAST. no worries.

Goal 10 miles

:ibrunning: nice.

hey seifullaah, just curious.. does your coach ever have you race anyone? Not a full race but, maybe just short accelerations, a segment after a fly in, etc. any kind of drills like that? if so, why not? I never see you mention it, that's why i'm asking.

also feel better mang.. seems like a bunch of people have sick-symptoms lately. I felt a little weird to yesterday.

bad luck to get sick right after starting the new gig. if it makes you feel any better, my brother has MRSA in his ankle and my friend had a case of strep so bad last week that when he went to the doctor, the doctor went and got all the medical staff together to look at his throat. it literally bled. and he had a 104-degree fever.

holy shit @ the strep story.

growing up i had strep at least 6 times, iirc.. sounds like they were on the verge of death.

as for staph/mrsa.. remember i got a staph infection once after dunking at my favorite indoor gym? Then Lance sent me bactroban, .. went through a few tubes of that before it finally disappeared. Sometimes my left armpit starts feeling weird, which is the area that I had that staph infection, and it always freaks me out.. makes me think it's somehow lying dormant in my body ready to wreck me again. I looked it up recently actually .. I dno, some sources say it can linger in your body for a very long time.

Yeah it's definitely not a very good look having a day off after just 1 week. I was hoping that I'd recover over the weekend, but I didn't recover in time. I'll be at work tomorrow. Sorry to hear about your friend and your brother. It's ironic that you mention MRSA because that's my new job- booking surgeries at a Hospital. I don't know all the terminology, but I've been taught that if somebody is a MRSA they have an infection and need to be placed last on the theatre list.

I guess that's why I'm just so disappointed with this job is that its in health care so unless you're a doctor or a nurse it's a real dead end job. My plan is to work here for 6 months and then transfer to another Government department hopefully in Treasury or Finance, but even in a social area like Housing etc. would  be fine because at least there is chances for career progression.

did you contact it at your work (or not sure)?

The sickest I EVER got was when I worked at Memorial Sportscenter which was affiliated with a hospital.. I somehow managed to get "whooping cough" in that environment.  Uber sterile environments can be scary af .. if things survive there, you know they are legit.

I just witness some of the best tennis today
rafael nadal vs del potro

del potro just is resilient he will make sure that he will be right there with you when you take the lead and then he just tires you out and defeats you, I was rooting for nadal, nadal almost got it, it went straight to tie break 1 a piece and both had 6, del potro thought he had it won when it was 6,4 to him but nadal just came back but that lasted short.

then the tennis after womens final, wow another amazing match.

potro vs murray final

damn nice. i missed that match. i think maybe because I was watching basketball.

i'd like to see Del Potro get the gold.. would love to see him back in the mix with the top guys at every major. he somewhat disappeared because of injuries.
