His bounce is insane at his age. That's nuts.

Thanks Matt, that's what I was really asking. Bones heal, other stuff not so much. Sucks, I was betting on him having a killer year.

Yea it hurt to just watch! Have they confirmed what the actual injury is?

Oh and for those wondering, JD doesnt lift. Just pushups, core stuff and God given FREAKISH athleticism.  SMH.

Said F it and went and hooped some. Couple full court games not going real hard. Good warmup for ehat happened after the games lol! Mini dunk session with the college players! Had a 6'4" sophomore that goes off 1 or 2, has a mid-upper 30" vert (he measured 37" pre ACL tear freshman year and hes almost back 100% he says), a 6'2" up coming freshman in college with similar vert and then JD. JD is 6'4" and has a vertec tested 44" vert. He's insanely explosive just uncoordinated. He windmilled off 1 step tonight.   :motherofgod: Of course this got me pretty amped up :headbang: . Got a decently clean windmill off a lob (a first! ), a couple reverses including one off glass and tried a 360 off the dribble to no success lol! Got way up on a few oops though, felt great for being slightly achy/sore. Rest FTW!

I have noticed that I'm either too heavy to go SL right now or not conditioned well enough yet. I can get it well enough and occasionally a two hander off one but I get crazy shin splints the next day. :/

When I ran track in highschool my coach always told us to 'attack the 400'. His reasoning was if you go out slow thinking you'll save some for the kick you end up behind on the back stretch and have to kick earlier, meaning your dead for the last 100m and its all mental. If you attack the curve and backstretch you're just as tired but should be in a better position on the track for the last 100m. In my experience anything between 3-400m was mostly mental; you cant physically sprint it like a 100 or 200 all out but if you pace yourself like an 800 you're fucked. :/

IDK what my BF% is and I don't really concern myself with it a lot,  I just eat semi clean (I love ice cream lol), lift hard, get some cardio a couple times a week and let the chips fall where they may. I just have a sneaking suspicion Entropy  is underestimating himself at his height/weight.

1013
Entropy, aren't you 6'4" or so? How do you consider yourself 'fat' at 6'4"/180ish lbs?

1014
True! Im down to 178 pretty consistently now lol! Going to give it a few more days and I'll be back at it.

1015
Im sick. It sucks. Bahhh. Haven't lifted in a few days....just sleep and water.

I haven't had a chance Raptor. Their material use is similar to the Superfly2s which for me have a very natural feel on the court so thats a positive. However, the hardest thing with shoes is recommending them to others because everyones foot is different and everyone has different views on whats important in a shoe.

Vag, have you worn the SF2? Id be curious to see if there's any differences in feel/function vs the POs.

This machine is what I was talking about (albeit poorly lol)

1018
Ahhhhhh! We're talking of two different things :) I see I've mislabeled my exercise. Im talking about the donkey kick type machine. But, your dead on with the GHRs, I usually do a few on my core circuit. Breaking at the waist is definitely cheating.

Thanks LBSS, I'm definitely incorporating it into future PC workouts!

Yea, I have T-Rex arms :)

Oh and I FINALLY met the guy who everyone is saying jumps higher than me!!! He never comes off his home court so Ive never seen him before! (I live on the edge of two counties, this county has three small cities and his is the furthest away, maybe 45 mins). No lie, has has bounce!!! He's 5'8" with the same overall reach as me (7'6") and he gets up! We were both tired from playing but we had a small dunk session at the end and hes a cool dude. Were gna try to be fresher next week and hopefully get some footage!

Oh BTW, he's primarily a DL jumper so I asked his squat and he said he's maxxed around 340lbs. He weighs 145. :) thought that was relevant.
