It sounds weird,  but sit on your hands until they fall asleep, then do a set of hammer curls.  The hypoxia stemming from the restricted plasma flow will magnify the hypertrophic response of every repetition you perform.

Use around 50% of your normal working weight, and go SLOW.  Make sure and film it, post here when you are done so I can  be sure form is correct.  If you do it wrong its worthless.

hey -- do you feel that the agility ladder has helped you with "fast feet"? i don't know whether or not I should use it once I can sprint/turn again. also, do you feel that getting stronger improved your acceleration in a sprint?

thanks!

Here I am coming with hate, but... am I the only one that's annoyed by that guy? There's something really fake about him, too much talk, too much nonsense, I don't know. Something is off.

he is trying to sell a product and I don't think it would be good marketing to just post the video of the jump alone.

showing people he knows what he is doing (i.e talking his audience through the process) will likely get him more sales than just saying "hey, here's proof I can jump - buy my program."

..or am I misunderstanding your point?

Reasoning for conditioning work before strength?

All the articles I've read from strength and conditioning coaches have explosive work into lifting into conditioning.

We have been extremely successful with managing shin splints once I implemented heel walks for 40yds x 3 sets done 3 x a week.

Couple that with ice/stretching the tib anterior/soleus/gastroc, and you will see good results.  Usually doesnt take long to notice improvement, and once youve healed keep the heel walks in as a workout finisher periodically to maintain lower leg health.

It really is that simple, dorsi flex your feet as high as you can, walk for 40 yds, rest, repeat. Alternating with toe walks is good for calf and achilles tendons as well, but even without them the heel walks are effective on their own.

where do you live? and do you not have health insurance? in the US it should be covered by insurance.

no idea whether physiotherapist and physical therapist are different, nobody says the former here.

I live in Canada.

go see a physical therapist.

Oh man. I was trying to avoid having to go because it's $60 a session. Lol. Thanks, guess I'll go see a physio then.

Is a physical therapist/physiotherapist the same thing?? I googled it and some say they are interchangeable while others say they're not.

I was hoping it would heal up in a week with rest/ice. It's now been 2+ weeks and I still can't do anything past jogging without minor pain.. when I try, my knee just collapses (have to "limp"). Oh, and my doctor said it would take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. I've been on a stationary bike but any other tips for rehab/prehab?

Just realized that deadlift was over 2.5x BW. Sweet. Ive wanted that for a while.

I wish to one day acquire your kind of physique and be as athletic as you are!

that squat PR is beast! one question: do you feel exploding up on the concentric (like you do) helps with carryover from max strength to explosive strength? usually i do that but was starting to change my technique a bit, but seeing you do it makes me think it's actually a good thing?
