Nutrition & Supplementation / Re: Protein powder

That's interesting. Those "recommended max" estimates tend to be super conservative. If you're worried stay away from EAS and MuscleMilk, but you should be doing that anyway because both of those are a huge ripoff.

FWIW, I get my WPC from TrueProtein, which you mentioned. No sweetener, just vanilla flavoring (you can customize it). Cheap as I've seen (although I haven't checked out CEL) and mixes very well. Might be chock-full of cadmium, for all I know, but it has been highly recommended by people I trust on this kind of thing (see signature). I wouldn't freak out too much.

whats wrong with muscle milk??? :\ not that i use it but was thinking of buying it

Nutrition & Supplementation / Re: Adding muscle while losing fat

Is dietary cycling and periodization out of fashion now?  I've always been a big believer in the statement that  nutrition should be like your training program.  Meaning it should be phased and there should be a reason and a strategy to how you eat.  I mean, you wouldn't train ME every single day, so why would you eat low carb/high protein or whatever all the time?

agree with pretty much what you said since i've heard quite a few people (can't remember which articles/references) talk about how humans can build strength AND lose fat at the same time but only in phases throughout the year although not sure about muscle

*alex maroko talked about this too but then again, its alex maroko prob was trying to sell something

Hey yo! My name's Nathan I just turned 18 and I'm currently a 1st-2nd year student at the University of Sydney studying health sciences with a human movement major. My motivation is to prove that short people and orientals can be strong and can not just play but dominate basketball (saying we're under-represented would be an understatement). Will be posting a training log shortly. Stay tuned! :wowthatwasnutswtf:
