D-Rose:
Why do we always try to analyze people? You're trying to figure out 'why I had to say it like that.'
IDK didn't you just try to analyze me by typing up this post. Its not like its not something natural every human does.
Get the f*** over it. I actually have improved on getting to the main point, the problem is that there are quite a few points to make...I would say everything I said in a college weight room actually since I aim to share my different thoughts as much as possible without those extraneous worries like "what are my demographics, I should know my demographics so people don't shit on me..." It's again a confidence issue.
Fuck you too....Nice, improvement is always cool. I dont see it as a confidence issue. Actually environment plays a huge role in how what you say is recieved. No one ever stops you from saying it....and im all for you to keep on preaching its just that it wont be as effective.
If you ever think something sounds 'gay' or 'new age,' realize those are your subconscious programs and judgments. You're basically a robot not a free thinker when you react like that. So you're not thinking, you're reacting. We all do this (look up the amygdala). What I have taught myself to do and preach to others is to detach yourself from your preconceived notions. Takes lots of practice and it won't make sense overnight, maybe over a year...
Yeah i know its reacting. If we didn't have these subconscious programs and judgements, life would suck arse. You need those beliefs to make decisions. I understand your arguement...but i cant be a free thinker for everything. It is a great point btw...but i have to go on my judgement. I actually want to be more reactive and less thinking for plenty of reasons.
But it is still relevant to peoples' goals on this forum. Learning these techniques and viewing things openly and non-judgmentally could take your training to a higher level, and help you absorb more information whether it be related to nutrition, or power training. Just some more food for thought.
Problem is with half the shit you have on the internet more is not always better. Honestly all this overcomplicating on training is what holds a lot of people back. If we get to the point where we have plenty of relative total body strength and we can express that strength without any leaks. Isn't that our goal. I play ball.
Nutritionwise...i don't really trust anything I read. I try to keep it simple. Dont eat shit. Drink a gallon of water. Five-six servins of fruits and veges. Protein at each meal. 3 big meals and snacks in between. Carbs at breakfast and post workout. IF trying to gain, carbs at breakfast, post workout, and after any kind of basketball/physical activity. Honestly i don't want to think about eating i have other shit to worry about. Like if im getting laid tonight, if i did my homework, when im gonna play ball, etc.
I could elaborate more, because the way you think is really closed.. you said I almost sound like a 'scammer.' Your perception of a scam is dependent on the open-mindedness and your attachments to your beliefs and generally an inability to relax and view information without judgment and emotion. That's what most of the 'call 'em out' threads demonstrate.
Yeah I said you like a scammer. Well many scammers like to talk a lot, and try to use as big of words (AHAHA) and complicate things as much as possible. Listen to Jay shroeder then listen to kelly baggett. You sounded more like jay shroeder. Like I said before we all have our guards up for a reason. With what you wrote we do have to come with a very open mind to see that you were righting a lot of good stuff. Im just saying that why not write it in a way so that even if you do have a closed mind, you can still appreciate it.
