darlington has a natural 50+ (right around 50 or so) RVJ.. natural meaning from all of the basketball/dunking he has done.

no idea though man :)

But he DOESN'T SQUAT!

I wonder what does he squat while training for the high jump.
Current PR status:

All time squat: 165 kg/Old age squat: 130 kg
All time deadlift: 184 kg/Old age deadlift: 140 kg
All time bench: 85 kg/Old age bench: 70kgx5reps
All time hip thrust (same as old age hip thrust): 160kgx5reps

From KellyB's article http://www.higher-faster-sports.com/verticaljumpfaq.html:
In fact I have a $500 bounty for the first person who can show me someone with a legit 35 inch vertical jump who can't squat 1.5 BW within a week of learning the movement. I could probably crank that up to 2 x BW and I doubt I would ever lose.

50'' to 55'' without squat , that's gonna cost a LOT ! :D :D :D

Well , let's suppose he has insane reactivity , like 15'' SVJ-RVJ difference , his SVJ should be in the high 30's to low 40's.
Anyway we wouldn't get the money because he would squat 2xBW easily , im sure.
Furthermore , his VJ (running or standing) is not legit because clearly he is not human!  ;D

how do you know he doesn't squat?

i'm asking cause i know he started training with a coach for high jump so the coach might have had him start to lift, squat, etc.

That was my point. I know he traines/trained for the high jump so he might have done some squats.

I saw that before I came to here and I must say how does he do it...but i'm pretty sure the answer is somewhere in this thread lol.  How high do you think his vertical is?
Lazy kid. Doesn't take training as extreme/serious as most of adarq.org
