Thanx BMully and (again;)) Vag!
Andrew I'm so proud you'll sticky the thread. I mean, that's a major honor for me, really.
I see your point talking about the diagnostic technology and I agree to an extent. The scenario you described is true without any doubt, but of course the benefits of progress exceed by far these kind of downsides.
And what you say can be actually applied more in general: if you know "too much" than you could face some difficult choices, and have multiple options, and choose for the worst. But I like having the chance to choose.
As for me, yes I was sort of depressed. Not only for the knee. I was studying for the most important exam of my life, trying to get the new job, and then I had to move far from my family and my friends, to a whole new reality. I felt like everything I was at that time was fading, while it was only changing.
And changing actually helped me. Playing with the pros, for example, was a great confidence boost for sure. The new reality helped me react, I was lucky I had people who love me near me and I was able to find the strenght to turn things around from whithin.
but enough talk for now, gotta go out and play
!
P.S.:How do you, being yourself a bonafide ankle-breaker, like my handles?
