We had many posts so far arguing about rim heights , let's make a thread dedicated to that.

I am not talking about "regular" people , i am talking about beasts like TFB etc posting low rim shit
Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

---

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?

DISCLAIMER : Yes , those guys all jump and dunk insanely , they can dunk 10' in their sleep etc

But head over rim at every dunk? Looks way too easy to be ~50''

What do you guys think? :D

Yea look at that block attempt at 1:03... one step with head over the rim, that guy is pretty tall but his feet don't get that high. Looks like 9'6.

ya, most everyone is low rim dunking now.. the nba sprite dunk contests rims are low, tfb's outside goals are usually low (some court in naples), and this:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jASYWDDmLhE" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jASYWDDmLhE</a>

that one rim that haneef dunks on, in that 24 hour fitness, is def low, thing is, that rim helped billy doran win a nissan.

HEH.

The question is, what the hell kind of gym installs a non-adjustable rim that's not 10 feet high?
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

We had such a rim at the court we play, it was originally 10' and it started slowly collapsing ( imagine those long horizontal bars getting just a slight bend , like 0,5 degrees , not visible but still there ). When it reached 9'8'' they replaced the whole thing.

Back to the thread , here's how a 6'4'' man looks under a 10' rim , and how legit 50''+ look like:
