Bullshit!!!
There is crazy cam angle distortion : It looks like his whole head is above but it is only like half or 2/3 of it!
His head reached only about 8'' to 10'' above , not 15'' or so that you see...
So ( given his height is 6'8'' ) this is not a 55'' jump as it seems , this is barely 48'' to 50''
oh , wait...
Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

---

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?

who said it was 55"? point is he clearly had a significant part of his head over the rim. in the middle of a game.

i'll never forgive him for not doing the dunk contest. fuck elbow in rim, lebron looks like he could do armpit in rim.

Look at the original angle (0:03). Does that seem head over rim to you?

The original angle is much worse that the slow-mo , very far and very sharp ( 45' or more ) it is terrible for making any kind of measurements. But it's not like i care if that was a 40'' or 45'' or 50'' jump , it is just awesome!
Just for the talk , i would guess around middle of head or so, headtip ~6'' to 8'' above rim.

who said it was 55"? point is he clearly had a significant part of his head over the rim. in the middle of a game.

LOL , it would be 55'' for the lebron teen fan that sees 'neck at rim" so ~15'' above - 55''.
I was playing the hater role, uses distortion and all and makes an estimation much lower than the lebron fan , to end up on a still unbelievable thing ( mid head above , 45''+ ) , then hater silenced from respect to the achievement.
I was expecting you'd catch the sarcasm...  :-*

Nah, LeBron just isn't a creative dunker (see Cannon Brown in the dunk contest). So it works only if you like power dunks/very high dunks (I like them by the way).

yeah but if he'd put even a little thought and practice in he could have done anything except javale mcgee's awesome two-basket dunk. you can't practice height, and even more important you can't practice an 18-foot wingspan.
