Is this a good weight lifting/ squatting shoe?  I'm not familiar with weight lifting shoes, but I normally squat barefoot.. I'm disliking barefoot though. Specially since no gym would allow it. Also need a good pair of jogging shoes for some random things that pop up

are these shoes = to weight lifting shoes?

they are hard to squat in that's why i elevate heels.. your heel sinks when wearing them, that's how they keep you on your toes.

Hey are the XC(cross country I think) version of these shoes similar to the regular version?  I'm wearing some waffle racer vii's right now, and I want to get another pair like these, but most places only have XC.

That's what I saw at my local sporting goods store, I was hesitant to get it, because it was cross country though.  I don't know why I didn't at least try a pair on, that was stupid of me.  What do you think of the cross country versions of the waffle racers though?  These are apparently the newer cross country waffle racers:

http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-1/pid-315665/pgid-315667#l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-1/pid-400965/pgid-400966

They look extremely similar, but I don't wanna spend money on them if they're not like the vii's I have.  Maybe I'll wear my vii's to the store and compare how they feel if I have the time.

I love my waffle racer vii's, they're amazing.  They run a bit small though (or maybe I just got some fat feet) so I got them a size larger.  Usually I wear a size 11 dress shoe, and a size 12 waffle racer fits pretty snug.  They don't have much support, but I've gotten used to it.  The first 2-3 weeks my feet/shins were pretty sore, because I did most of my stuff in bball shoes, but I haven't had any problems in the past month or so.  For speed/plyo/conditioning work I give it two thumbs up, but probably won't play basketball in them.

love the 8's.. going to buy 2 more pair, then eventually get the 9's.

the grip and bounce of the 8's right out of the box is incredible.

i really want these :F

9's:

the 8's are $29 on eastbay right now.. i can get 4 pairs of waffles for the price of one cheap basketball shoe.

any other shoe suggestions? i think its best to get a shoe with harder cushioning, cause you can transfer power better through them than something soft. i have kobe 8's and kd vi's, and i prefer the kd's a lot more. they're nike zoom and are a lot stiffer than kobe lunarlon's and i really feel i can jump higher in them.
