Just looking into the news and came across some footage showing mcgregor attacking one of team khabib's men when he tried to climb over the octagon after khabib but was stopped halfway by security. khabib's team can be seen on top of the octagon and gets hit by conor and then khabib's team comes and hits him.

McGregor was going to try and protect his jujitsu coach and he had security holding him back. If Khabib hadn't jumped over the octagon that wouldn't have happened. Khabib's team jumped in the octagon and hit McGregor from behind. Since McGregor wasn't expecting it that could have easily knocked him out and it was actually surprising that the punch appeared to have little impact.
right but conor also hit someone from khabib's team who was on top of the fence - guy didn't look like he was expecting it at all, that was definitely another escalation. those guys went for him, after that. The guy on the fence was probably going to try and "subdue" Khabib, not fight. Obviously Conor isn't thinking about any of that but, the reality of it is, that guy was no threat to Conor or anyone at that point, and Conor clocked him. Those other 2 dudes definitely were looking to hurt Conor.
Conor should have just stayed in the octagon and watched his "training partner" get his ass beat. I mean this guy (Danis) apparently wants to get his ass beat by Khabib, and since this is WWE now, Dana should give him a title shot.
khabib definitely made the first mistake though.. no justification (in this situation) to jump out of the ring like that.
As for those two guys never fight again in the UFC that could change. Initially after the whole bus incident Dana White said it was the most disgusting thing he'd ever seen and wanted nothing to do with Conor. Time heals. The UFC is starting to look like the WWE. I wouldn't be surprised if Dana changes his mind especially if they are talented fighters.
Money heals..
Conor is their cash cow. I doubt he was ever truly disgusted either. That incident happened true WWE style, behind the scenes. This one happened in a real event where fans could have been hurt, so definitely a huge difference from that perspective.
These other two guys are "no names" and will feel Dana's mma monopoly wrath.
Anyway, Conor doesn't have alot of options with Khabib.. This guy is going to crush him even worse in a rematch. He deserves another shot at some point but, he better sharpen up against some other guys.. if he doesn't, I really don't think he has the animal left in him, in order to give Khabib a real contest.
The era of Conor = done. Khabib runs shit now.. and I don't see anyone who can challenge this guy, he's a bear.
