Hi all,  I'm here to achieve some fitness goals.  Especially in regard to improving vert.  I wanted to dunk for as long as I can remember.  Back when i was in high school I put it down a couple times, but I had to throw myself a perfect alley oop to do it.  Years went by and my fitness goals shifted to just basic bodybuilding type protocols....unfortunately I thought i was allergic to squats and most lower body exercises, so it's fair to say I'm pretty upper body dominant.

I turned 32 this past year and I wasn't ready to give up on the goal of dunking.  I started squatting more regularly (and deeper than ever), and started to learn the olympic lifts.  I added in a few sprints, and experimented with a bit of plyo.  Eventually I got to the point where I was able to dunk it pretty consistently. I wasn't able to do anything too impressive, but it still felt pretty awesome to be able to put it down.

A couple months ago I rolled my ankle badly....haven't been able to play or do much training since.  Anyway, I'm here to learn, train hard and get results.  If I can encourage others or help in any way that's cool too.

Cheers,
Clarence

damn :/ hope your ankle is healing up, is it at least progressing towards 100%? 2 months is pretty long, must have been a very serious sprain.

Yeah, pretty frustrating.  I'd put it at about 70%.  I can lift heavy again, but explosive stuff ain't there yet.  Tested it a bit the other day wasn't even able to grab the rim.
