ya that was brilliant. I didn't notice the "luring his defender in to create space" part of it, but did notice that he purposefully did not touch the ball as it approached/passed him, allowing it to go to his teammate. thought that was incredible awareness.

OH MY GOD. I Had a feeling that belgium would win but the way Japan was ahead at the beginning. I wanted Japan to win but Lukaku baiting the defenders was clever.

Really sad about Japan yesterday blowing that 2-0 lead. They were just playing wonderful and continued to attack and take risks. My Europhile self was angry that they didn't sit back, defend the lead and slow the pace of play. After watching Sweden win with their boring and pragmatic style of play I took much greater appreciation for the show they put on. They stuck with their own style and really gave the world a memorable game. Also, there's no telling that they won't inspire the next generation to continue to further that style and be successful down the road.

Omg Columbia just equalised against England on injury time.

One thing I am noticing is the theatrics of making it appear to the ref of a foul and just dive pathetic.

But England Vs Columbia is close

What a penalty showdown England have never won penalties and then when columbia saved one of england's attempts, everyone in england had their hearts in their throats prepared for another disappointment and then columbia mess up and then columbia's attempt saved and then VICTORYYYYYY.

Looking forward to Uruguay vs France and Belgium vs Brazil.

ya, I like watching Japan, they bring it.

Japan seems to really go hard, in whatever sport they do. I mean i'm very interested in their running culture, they have faster half/full marathoners than the US. They risk alot.

I don't mind boring styles tho, whatever wins, as long as it's not cheating. I mean, i'm a Floyd Jr fan.. king of "boring styles" by most accounts :d

also, i can't recall seeing someone cry so hard during a match/sport event.. that uruguay player was crying pretty hard, during the game. damn... brutal.

I'm so happy Neymar isn't getting the calls. Refs really treating him proper. He's such a phony with these flops, really hurts the sport.

On the other hand, Belgium's attack is absolutely incredible. They are the most creative team i've seen so far, for sure. Maybe France #2. But Belgium's passing on attack is just superb.
