what a fight..

the lesson here: boxing > brawling

alvarado's movement kept rios off balance. combine that with big shots from alvarado, and rios had some serious trouble tonight..

it didn't look too good early on for alvarado but he stuck to the game plan.

great performance

You're right there definitely an excellent fight.

I'm glad alvarado won.  :headbang:  :headbang:

Alvarado definitely learned from his previous fight of not only brawling but brawling smart and moving around, rios was good at taking shots and hitting hard back.

man o man. alvarado ryu style speed upper cut i like how he is brawling and he is waiting by doing few punches ready to jump out and come right back in with a monstrous shot.

rios had the reach to get him, so was winning, almost toppled alvarado but alvarado kept up.

lesson: would agree with boxing > brawling where boxing=brawling, movement, power...

great fight.

Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm

Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73
