awesome man..

any time you set some nice PR's you should update this post.. that way you have a nice timeline.. but ya you definitely approach training the right way, asking questions, very consistent, lots of enthusiasm.. can't go wrong with that :)

peace

thanks darq. i like to think of myself as a blue collar guy with the vert training. extremely  shitty genetics but gets the job done.  i remember 8th grade middle school tryouts when we ran full court sprints ( not conditioning work, actual fast twitch work but i didnt know that at the time) and i was the last guy every sprint. after 1.5 years of training, at jv tryouts this year, i ran faster than anybody as a sophmore.

press "." for frame by frame advancing
press ":" for slow mo

this works better then pausing the video on youtube for sure.. but it can't get EVERY frame.. don't think it's possible with flash video (.flv).

30 inch vertical slrvj pr!!!  i had a balls to the walls reach of 7'10 and hit 10'4 highest touch. went to s and w so i have more run up room than driveway. 3 hrs before, i had 1 pork chop, carrots, and cpornflakes. i actually crashed at 7 30 pm a little bit. vert test was at 9pm cuz sport court was taken. i like 5pm best. surprised with the pr cuz my it band ( outside quads) was killing me. i cud barely walk and i felt it right before runup but during the actual runup and jumpin, i didnt feel it. this really hurt my drop step and standing verts.

i'm not going to say 37, as i don't believe in the calculators.. but you should definitely see more PR's with stepup + squat improvements.

i'm surprised you havn't hit another PR since, but you could just be transferring the strength you already have into the learned stepup movement.

every workout you're improving on the stepups.

32 inch vert pr yesterday!!!!   i didnt even have my ipod so i did meditating on my best jumps. However, i didnt start meditating till my 10th jump so if i did it on the 5th-10th jumps, i probly would have gotten a bigger pr. I also did my warmup of leg swings and butt kicks with my eyes closed just to see what would happen. at 6 40, i ate spinach and life cereal.
