Apart from genetics/talent, what other qualities do you see in Casey accomplishing that 6.59?.

Low bodyweight?.
Great elasticity/spring?.

Doesn't look to have great "strength" levels in the purest form of max strength.

Any thoughts?.

Completely insane power. A 135 pound dude has no business owning an effortless 40 inch vertical.

I bet his squat, if he ever squatted (no idea what his training was like) would have been awesome for someone his size.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

I don't think he did any weight training until a couple years ago when he wanted to start running again. He was still almost as fast as before in spite of all the smoking and mountain dew. Even now at 145-ish he'd still be pretty strong.

well, he doesn't "look strong from a physique sense", but either do the people who bend ridiculous level iron/pans/nails/etc.. either does stefan holm and many of those youtube dunkers etc..

i havn't seen him shirtless or nearly nude (speedo) but i imagine he wouldn't look weak.. i imagine he would look pretty solid/dense even though he is so light.

genetics is his #1 quality, he hasn't been studied so who knows, but i'm assuming it's completely optimal leverages/tendons for sprinting, very high percentage of type IIx fibers throughout his body, really incredible CNS, relative strength off the charts, etc.

he has to be crazy strong relative to his bodyweight, to perform the way he does.. there's just no other way to describe his power.. he's not purely reactive, that's for sure.. he looks very strong to me.. that type of acceleration & 'drop step VJ tuck jump' require a very high amount of raw power. if he was ALL tendon, his acceleration would be nowhere at the level it was.

he's very strong no doubt about it.

right i'm saying we don't know what level depth he would use most efficiently..

his injuries are more of him rushing back into sprinting without proper preparedness, it wasn't his lifting regime.. he was just too out of shape, and that's a dangerous combo given his genetic abilities for power.. so hamstrings tweaked ez.

IF he trained like a normal sprinter, instead of his freelance shit..he probably would not have hurt anything..but maybe he would not be as fast....it seems unorthodox to just sprint everyday, but he was dedicated to starting doing 20 starts a night and listening to the voice of the starter in bed....srsly he was working hard,
