@vag: as is often the case with in-game dunk videos, the bench reaction is the best part.

edit: this is funny: http://deadspin.com/5966239/this-lady-behind-the-clippers-bench-was-the-only-one-unimpressed-by-last-nights-performance

just do ALOT of ab and core work outs and you will be more explosive and will jump higher but you need to just jump more then you do abs just to train your legs· in reply to afromaniatiko

A little lower:

Hey man. I'm the same height as you and I wanted to know how you increased your vertical jump. Right now I can grab the rim and I just need better jump technique and explosion/a little more strength

@montanoemmanuel I just jump a lot and do a lot of ab workouts like crunches/situps and those core workouts is was increases explosion more then anything and just practice jumping ALL the time!!

Same old story , so sad! He does say he squats 410 in the same comments page , but he doesn't reply how often he squats.

That's because he ended up squatting 410 by doing ab workouts.
Current PR status:

All time squat: 165 kg/Old age squat: 130 kg
All time deadlift: 184 kg/Old age deadlift: 140 kg
All time bench: 85 kg/Old age bench: 70kgx5reps
All time hip thrust (same as old age hip thrust): 160kgx5reps

I was hooping at the YMCA last Wednesday, and between games me and this fellow dunker was chatting and I told him it was my main goal to jump high and hit my head on the rim. I told him I was going to squat and calve raise my way up there, and his reply was to do core and work my lower back via back extensions for explosiveness. I just smiled and shook my head, he was also a natural athlete 30 years 6'4  230 and could two hand tomahawk from vertical stand still... On a side note I do like working core and doing back extensions just not for jumping higher.
Goal

windmill consistently/ touch top of the square consistently

weight= 193
height= 6'3 1/2
highest touch= top of the square, which is 11'4
