Yeah well having a 90kg+ snatch and 230kg+ deadlift would probably help you too.

the mike marra dunk is awesome. showy in-game dunks are almost always more impressive than dunks for dunk's sake, IMO. also, the reaction from the guy in the lower left is spot-on.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

no idea, i was confused as well.. even if the rim is a LITTLE low perhaps, he's got some nasty hops and even MORE nasty movements in the air.. his style in the air is pretty nuts, and some of those dunks are just  :o

I mean I get the "he's got a great structure for jumping" but as far as strength goes... I mean com'on...

Yes he might be very glute dominant and have some glute hypertrophy but seriously, this is the last guy you'd say he's got "some pretty strong legs". Yes yes, the Ziani story all over again.

even if he was doing that shit on 9' it'd be pretty impressive.. his coordination/style in the air is really sick.

^SLRVJs , you can never know what to expect. The ziani story, well said.
It happens with DLRVJs occasionaly too. See killerjunior and dunkfather, they got to 40+ DLRVJs without ever squatting, just going out and dunking every day.

Yeah it doesn't make any sense. I want to know the scientific basis that these guys have to jump so high.

I have a question... more than one actually:
Why doesn't it make sense? What do you know about this guy that led you to the conclusion that he should not be able to jump high?
Have you seen him squat? Have you measured his muscles response? Is his starting strength and/or limit strength low? Does he have a slow RFD? A 'slow' nervous system? Bad rate coding? What are his leverages? Does he have long or short femur? High or low insertion cavles? Long or short shin bones? How much quad dominant or hip dominant is he? How much muscle does he curry in his quads, how much in the hamstrings and how much in the butt? How strong is his core? What about his tendons? Are they long, short, stiff, mushy?
What are his assesments in all those and how did the combination of them lead you to say it doesn't make any sense to jump so high?

It's easy: looking at him he displays himself as a thin, weak guy. The end.
