David Stern can suck it.

That being said, he is a great negotiator and can twirl a story in his favor however he wants.

I just want the NBA back. Owners are wrong. Players are wrong. Just play some dang ball.

i find it odd how this nba lockout isnt on the national news networks.. so many jobs are lost if the season is locked out..

here's a really good example that hits home...

jello's nbachat.ro, he has been building this site for months.. and now there might not even be a season.. that seriously sucks.. but really, i'd imagine like, nearly 50,000 jobs lost from an nba season lockout, at least.. im not just talking about in the nba, but everything that makes money off of it.. people who make hats/clothes/bla bla, vendors (food/beverages/candy etc), advertising, everything that goes on in the stadium, parking around the stadiums.. it's huge.

imo, the players need to back down.  its true the owners made the system kind of messed up by spoiling athletes, but thats the way competition is in a free market.

Kinda, kinda not. The players have made quite a few concessions already. Sure, the BRI should be 50/50 instead of the 53% the players are now proposing, but the owners haven't made a single solitary concession.

The things they're claiming are concessions are actually just them backing off some SERIOUS hard line proposals they threw out months ago. I don't like the angle the owners are taking simply because I don't think they should be guaranteed profits (which is basically what they are seeking). I think they should HAVE to be forced to run a smart ship. Guys like Donald Sterling should not own franchises like the Clippers (which by the way make tons of money while still being a crapship of a business) and be guaranteed profits. They should have some kind of accountability.

Either way you play it though, this lockout sucks.

Haha, ya. I've had some other ventures I've been working on but I am currently changing direction for that site. I wanted to develop it around a chat system (but no $ or skills to currently design that) so I'm just working on using it as a blog right now. It's coming along nicely though. But of course, it'd have a brighter future if there was a dang season!

Was an example of "democracy". That'd teach us former communist countries a lesson about proper democracy!
