brutal to see GSW go out like that, no Durant & losing Klay in game 6, while having 30 midway through the 3rd qtr, and shooting lights out.

:<

props to TOR but kinda depressing.

also what an anticlimax at the end, with the refs mucking everything up with the foul call. like, if it really happened before the ball was inbounded then why spend five minutes at the monitor debating it? and if it happened after the ball was inbounded then just let the clock run out, it's meaningless to the outcome of the game. pretty nuts that the warriors came so close in such a battered state. wish there could be a game 7, but oh well.

hard not to feel like it's the end of an era.

Felt empty. Didn't really want GSW to win but found myself rooting for them in that game.

I feel for Curry though. It was the perfect play to get him an open shot. Should have hit that one.

no klay in game 7 if that curry shot went in anyway. that warriors fan shoving lowry jinx everything. cant hate on the raptors. injury is part of the game and they remained healthy.

Agreed. No hate going the raptors way. They did a tremendous job. I do hate it when pivotal players are missing from finals series though. KD and Kyrie in 2015, Chris Paul last year, KD and Klay this year, etc (assuming there's heaps more that I'm missing). I know it's a game of attrition but I would prefer to see two full teams going at it.

that ref ruined that ending for me. it wasnt like the warriors were going to do anything with so little time left on the clock and no timeout. he should never be allowed to ref another important game, there is a reason refs swallow the whistle at the close of games, it's to do with entertainment and not ruining hte fan experience! And secondly it bothered me because the score was better at 110-111 because the warriors were right there (steph had a 3pt attempt at winning the game), that's how the game should have officially closed, not with the stupid ref calling an inconsequential foul when Kawhi got the ball and scored anyways.

all im saying is if lebron went to the sixers, he'd be on his 7th finals appearance, 4th ring and the start of the next great NBA dynasty (i think warriors window has closed). do you think 76ers + lebron (- tobias) dont get past the raptors when it went to the last second of the 7th game? im not sure.

First props to Toronto.

But now, I don't see how everyone is counting the warriors out next year. They were literally RIGHT THERE with a completely hobbled roster (even Steph is battling finger issues). So they lose Durant in FA. That opens up money to sign some bench depth and re sign Boogie, who should come back healthier. Wtih Steph and Klay there this team is dangerous just from their spacing and unselfishness. They may not win the chip next year but I won't be surprised a bit if they're right there in the WCF or Finals and scaring teams lol

much longer for KD. recovery rate for ACLs is really good now. KD may never be the same player again.

wow. this sucks, especially for Ujiri:

https://toronto.citynews.ca/2019/06/14/masai-ujiri-involved-in-altercation-with-sheriffs-deputy-at-oracle-arena-reports/

Quote
A Warriors fan who witnessed the incident told The Associated Press that the sheriff’s deputy didn’t ask for any credentials before putting his hand on Ujiri’s chest and pushing him. Greg Wiener, a 61-year-old season ticket holder, said Ujiri then shoved the officer back before bystanders intervened.

weird stuff.
