im so confused at the end of the spurs/nuggets game...

~3s shot clock diff, spurs down 4.. Spurs don't foul. They play D and get the ball back with 3s, dribble around and don't even get a shot off.

makes absolutely no sense how they didn't foul.

mind boggling.. wtf?

they had a chance to foul with 27s left (-4), and instead let and entire shotclock run down.

never seen that at the playoff+ level.

badly officiated game on both sides.

GSW "sneaks away" with a W in game 1.

sneaks away because HOU played awful again, yet was only down 3 with 10s left.

Man I love your updates on these games. I actually watched both the PHI/TOR and SA/DEN games yesterday but reading this thread is almost more entertaining.

I thought Philly was an interesting one. Philly were rubbish in the first half and didn't hit a thing and TOR couldn't miss but weren't down by much at the half. Surely TOR can't shoot like that again.

Also agree that GSW snuck away with game 1. That's going to be so close this series.

haha cool.

i just can't help but "live blog" when it's exciting. :D

the end of PHI/DEN still blows my mind. how on earth did that happen in a professional game? I was hoping the post-game TNT crew addressed it.. and man did they. for like 15 minutes lmfao.

regarding TOR's shooting: that squad i impressive. Kawhi is so efficient it's absolutely beautiful. TOR just takes *mostly* smart shots. get to the rim, or drive & kick for wide open 3's/j's, mid-range jumpers (omg a team that settles for mid-range shots), or pick and roll, tons of slashers etc.. real basketball. it's refreshing to see.

yup.

HOU drives me nuts. Watching them literally makes me angry. Wide open mid-range shots or blow-by defender moves, only to dribble it back out for a 3/step back 3, or launch contested 3's etc.

that team missed ~29 straight 3 pointers over the last 2 games, until they finally hit one today in the 2nd qtr.

that's such a travesty.

I just don't see how they beat the Warriors doing that. I mean that can't be a formula that actually gets them the W in a 7 game series where they dont have home court advantage.

I saw several HOU games this season.. I think when their opponent isn't a threat, they play much better basketball.. maybe because they get more wide-open 3's. With better defense, they just chuck up the ugliest shots i've ever seen.

Harden got "undercut" several times in game 1, but he also oversold it several times as well (by kicking his legs out). He's a top notch flop artist.

I like Harden but, much more when he is getting to the rim. This dude can get to the rim whenever he wants - and usually get fouled.

Instead, he's jacking up the most disgusting 3's with D all over him.

frustrating :D

POR/DEN should be interesting tomorrow. POR just has way more fire power right now. DEN was in some low scoring games. I don't think they can win a series like that against POR - who will definitely get buckets up into the 110+ range.

MIL getting OWNED was the biggest surprise to me. Didn't expect them to get destroyed like that in game 1.

Durant & Kawhi are so lethal right now. I just love their shot selection. Seems like a lost art lately, meanwhile it's fundamental basketball. lmao.

still thinking of Durant's one leg step backs last night.. beautiful.

some of those replays of him doing it over Chris Paul etc, unguardable.
