and i agree people can absolutely hate on the rule....but anyone who goes to BYU knows what they're getting into as soon as they sign up...it's a good private school with very strict religous views so thats the stand point decisions are made from

it was a sarcastic, exaggerated statement. i freely admit that i know very little about mormonism.

however, rules made to suppress sexuality tend to favor men at the expense of women.

fair enough...though i'd tend to disagree...i think they'd favor women since it seems easier for women to obstain from sex than men

Gotta respect the school for sticking to their guns even with the team playing as well as they are. To do that right before conference and ncaa tourney's is pretty tough. Finally though, somewhere that places an emphasis on something higher than athletics.

psychological, by men having sex or hooking up with girls, they are achieving something and will be patted out the back by their buddies

on the other hand, if women hook up with guys, it is "slutty" and does not really require any work or effort per se.

People may think "omg look at that girl, she can get any guy she wants. Why can't I get any girl that I want? It's not fair!" Okay but is SHE drooling over YOU? Guys tend to compare themselves to girls better looking then themselves and wonder why it's easier for girls to get guys than the opposite... it's not a good comparison.

Think about all the ugly nerdy girls, you think they don't have sex drives either? I'll address that as well... How many guys actually just GO AND ASK a girl for sex straight up? Not many. And the girls that do that? Not many. So it evens out anyway.
