Hoka One One put on an awesome event to market their new carbon fiber plate accelerated foot rocker clown shoes, similar to the VaporFly 4% clown shoes. I'm personally not a fan of this new stuff, these shoes feel mechanical. I got the vapor fly 4%'s to test them, and I absolutely hate them. They don't feel like "real" shoes.

regardless.. Walmsley set a 50 mile world record. Incredible pace.. 5:48 IIRC.

25k (15.5343 miles) is a hard distance for many fans to put their minds around so maybe this will help. Stinson hit 10k in 29:20, split 62:03 for the half marathon and still had another 2.42 miles to go.

i dno like 4:42 min/mi pace or something like that.

dropped 12:52 at Rome Diamond League, for the world lead.

then 5 days later, drops 12:57.

after his wins, he runs around freaking out for like 10 minutes. he seems pretty amp'd. exciting.

he beat a stacked field at Rome, including Barega who hit 12:43 last year, at 19 y/o.
