Hi

i saw this, i don't think it should be something you should worry about, because during the try outs for olympics in jamaica yohan blake beat him in 100m and 200m.

he hasn't raced in a while, which i can tell from him he is trying hard but still not his powerful self, but once he starts competing regularly and training there is nothing for him to be worried about.

if i was gatlin, i wouldn't consider it a proper defeat, it would have to be a stunning defeat where you beat him in the world championships or olympics.
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm

Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

I semi-agree. Bolt IS coming off a hamstring injury so I doubt he's 100% but for Gatlin its a huge boost if even egotistically. Belief can be a huge motivator and if he know BELIEVES he can heat Bolt then hes much more dangerous.

The same way the mind accepts defeat before the body it also reaches victory first.

Might I ask where is Yohan Blake at? He is getting pretty dangerous.  What time is he currently running?

Bolt's start was outstanding from what I could see.

Gatlin needs to stay healthy to get into those crazy times that we see from bolt. Everyone against Bolt has to remain 100%.

"Performance during stretch-shortening cycle exercise is influenced by the visco-elastic properties of the muscle-tendon units. During stretching of an activated muscle, mechanical energy is absorbed in the tendon structures (tendon and aponeurosis) and this energy can subsequently be re-utilized if shortening of the muscle immediately follows the stretching. According to Biscotti (2000), 72% of the elastic energy restitution action comes from tendons, 28% - from contractile elements of muscles.

Everytime I see Tyson Gay, I always think he's too old or hurt. Just proved me wrong here.
